i've heard that marcelinho and ailton are very good friends.
according to todays 'Bild', then Schalke received an offer from the club Al-Arabi (Qatar, former club from Batitstuta and Effenberg) over 3.8m € to let ailton go. Plus a 2.8m € signing fee for a 2y-contract including and option for both sides. Ailton will earn 2.8m € per year. 'Bild' also reports that Ailton already agreed to that deal.

if i were schalke i would agree, too. they get ailton on a free transfer and will earn 3.8m - good money for a 'problem-kid'.
