I am orswich or Stefan Orsan

i welcome you to the german forum here on soccer 24-7. or ( ich begrüße Sie zu soccer24-7 )

my german is rusty and my family is schwabish so i'll type in english

(but dont be afraid to sprechen deutsch on here, if you are more comfortable that way go ahead)..

this is my personal mission..... i have been trying to find a good site to discuss german football with others with few results. On most sites i can find 1-2 german fans and another 1-2 people who know about a few german players. but never have i found a place where there are alot of people are discussing german football, or players from the czech rep. or poland..

so here's my plan... to go out and invite all the few german fans on other sites and have them gather here (i am in no way running this site or trying to spam other forums).. the purpose of getting all of you here is so we can have good discussions on german or any other football (which are hard to find), and even have a few good laughs.. if the english fans can gather and discuss on the internet, why cant the german fans???

if you are new here and dont see many posts, dont leave, stay and help build a great group of fans and friends with a common interest..

and post!!!!! if you have an opinion on a topic, let us all know.. or if you dont have an opinion on a topic start a new one and see what others think..

well i hope my mission succeeds, thanks for your time..(Dank während Ihrer Zeit)

Deine Eltern sind aus dem Ländle? Dann müßtest du doch Stuttgart Fan sein?

In welchem Land wohnst du jetzt?

I´ll try to enter this site regular.

Translates into that hes telling Stef that he should be a Stuttgart fan and also asking him what country he lives in (I think anyway)

ps Sollten wir ubersetzen, wenn wir Deutsches innen hier sprechen??

sprechen englisch, ja???

excuse my ignorance, but the above probably isnt right either!

(only so i could join in!!- but admittedly it would probably be better if a bundesliga forum was actually in deutsch)

Orswich, schalke have quite a big forum on their offical website- perhaps you could scout for potential newbies there?? im a member there, but more of a 'silent' one at that as my integration into the 'schalke-family' has kinda of struck a hurdle with this language barrier problem! but nonetheless, you could at least communicate with some of them anyway!

to answer SGE my father lived just outside of Gunzsburg, have no idea how he became a Schalke fan but right now it looks like he made the right choice, never been a stuttgart fan never will...and I live and been born in Canada, both of my parents came over with thier parents from germany and met at the local schwaben club http://www.kitchenerschwabenclub.com/ ....beantworten Sie Ihre Frage haben ich?

I am a schalke and a Eintracht Frankfurt fan.. to clear this up, I have cheered for schalke04 all my life (die Mannschaft meines Vaters)or my fathers team, but my mother is from the frankfurt region and two of my uncles are die-hard eintracht fans so i have great respect and admire the franfurt eagles.. so if i cheer for them dont think i have turned my back on the royal blues, just like frankfurt also..

Costs:

plain ticket 360 EUR

footy ticket 30 EUR

train tickets 30 EUR

accommodation 2 EUR (couple of Durex´s)

It´s not cheap, but I can afford it!!!

Paisley is travelling to USSR!!!

Besides, I have many friends in Westfalen where I was exchange student - I also get to meet them. It´s not only footy, but I meet my old shags.. uumm.. :? friends? And have a good time. I haven´t been back there since I left summer 2000. Hence it´s going to be nostalgic.
