surprise surprise it's Milan 3 Liverpool 0 at half time
The overrated Gerrard non-existant again in a big game for the 2,357 time in his career
Milan could drive a bus through that Liverpool midfield and they have an international class experienced defensive midfielder who has played in a world cup final-sitting on the reserve bench
brilliant!
well done Benitez!

Since this seems to be the un-official CL thread I'd like to make a point here. Liverpool's third goal was the result of a spot kick from a foul in the area, OK fine. I was wondering about this foul on Gerrard in which minimal contact was made and in a delayed reaction he went down quicker then a Frankfurt street-walkin' whore! Seems to me he embellished it some what to get the tieing goal. This isn't what bothers me, it the fact that a couple of rounds ago in the CL Ballack went down a little easy to draw a penalty and everyone was up in arms! I wonder if Gerrard's buddy Lampard over at Chelsea called him up and said "Hey man, that's not what we're about here in England!" Yes seems to be a bit of a double standard there dosen't it?

he went down quicker then a Frankfurt street-walkin' whore!Ahh but he does it for far more money :cool , not that I'd know of course :ninja . Whenever the english dive(I'm not saying this incident was a dive) or timewaste it's always understandable apparently.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Midfielder Dietmar Hamann withdrew Tuesday from the German squad for the Confederations Cup because of a stress fracture in his right foot.
Hamann injured himself after coming on as a Liverpool substitute in the second half of the Champions League final last week. The Reds beat AC Milan in a penalty shootout after the teams were tied 3-3 after extra-time.
Hamann will be replaced by Kaiserslautern's Marco Engelhardt.
The German team played Bayern Munich in an exhibition match later Tuesday. It was the first ever game at Bayern's new stadium, Allianz Arena, which will stage the opening match of next year's World Cup.
Hamann had been recalled to the national team for the first time since Euro 2004.
