Ive just been passed some information and my friend has also seen this in the hertha berlin website. Ive also posted this in the premiership section, but thought id mention it here as its been seen around a few forums. Can anyone inlighten me?

Nando Rafael looks set to move to Aston Villa after falling out with Berlin coach Falko Götz, who has stated that he has been unhappy with Rafael's performances this season.

Nando Rafael was tipped to be "The next Patrick Kluivert" by his former club Ajax Amsterdam after scoring 22 goals in 23 games for the former Dutch champions.

Rafael has failed to reproduce this impressive record since joining Hertha Berlin, scoring only 12 goals in the 53 apperances he has made since 2002.

The 21 year old forward is said to be keen for a new challenge in The Premiership.

Hertha Berlin, who finished on a disappointing fourth place in this year's Bundesliga are said to be willing to let the out of form striker leave. A few Premiership clubs are said to be chasing his signature, with Aston Villa currently leading the race.

I don't know that fourth is so disapointing for Hertha, they could have done alot worse. I think all in all they are fairly happy with this seasons performance (of course any team always wants to do better) and could be ready to let an under achiever like Rafael go.

I heard he wasnt happy and wanted to go to a club which has potential.

Well I think when someone under performs they are never usually happy about it. I think Hertha has a lot of potential (don't let Dandy hear me say that) maybe he just needs a change of scenery which could do him some good and is no fault of Hertha's!

Can you see them letting him go?

Hertha was the black horse this season together with HSV. I mean come on, they out paced the fierce Stuttgart and the stubborn Leverkusen. Friedrcih, Marcelinho, Bastuerk & Fatih gave a good performance. I didn't expect Falko Goetz to give this show specially after he was expelled last season.

Can you see them letting him go? I don't think that they will let him go. Hertha BSC actual only has 3 other real forwards. Bobic will leave, Wichniarek maybe joins Arminia Bielefeld and Ilhan Mansiz was injured for a long time. Until now they haven't buy any new forwards - there are only some rumors that Hertha will buy Tomislav Sokota (Benfica) or Nikola Zigic (Red Star Belgrad).

Billy Reina is also leaving so I doubt Hertha are stupid enough to let Rafael go.
