The pressure of poor results at home and abroad seems to be getting to the Bayern Munich squad after a fight broke out at the training ground this morning.

Bixente Lizarazu and Robert Kovac were the players involved, with the Croatian apparently hitting out at Lizarazu after feeling provoked by a series of fouls.

Manager Ottmar Hitzfeld broke up the training session immediately and had a discussion with the two players in the changing room.

Afterwards he revealed that Lizarazu took a fine of around 10,000 Euros as he started the whole episode.

"It shows me that the team is alive which is important just days before the match against German champions Borussia Dortmund," said Hitzfeld.

This is not the first time Lizarazu has been involved in a training ground bust-up. Three years ago he had a run-in with Lothar Matthäus, and ended up hitting the German international in the face.
