I just saw the story regards Fiorentina on tv, I knew about all this happening but thought they had lost their top players, Di Livio thought has took a 90%+ pay cut and is captaining them in Serie C2. Has to be admired, World Cup to C2 in a matter of weeks :eek

Have to admire the gesture, I don't think one player in 100 in the present climate would have done the same. Still, have to feel sorry for him, and the Fiorentina fans.

They`re called Florentia 1926 now...they drew their first match day 1-1 (lucky to draw in the 94th min) and won the 2nd match 5-1. didn`t check today`s scores yet. They`re not allowed yet to use the purple colours forr legal reasons (same as for the name), but they kept the outline. Quite complicated, but I think they`ll get the original name and colours soon. The stadium is the same, and it`s quite weird having a 50,000+ stadium in Serie C2, and they`re getting for each match at least 20k+ supporters so the people are sticking with them.
