I noticed he's back in the Germany national side, so how has been doing this season? Great to see him regularly playing at a top level again regardless though.

I think Babbel is slight better than Worns....

He was really poor last season with Blackburn.

I vote for Babbel to replace Woerns as the center back commando. He's more aggressive and stubborn. And ofcourse way faster than Woerns. But to tell the truth, both are slow paced compared to other international CB as Campel, Nesta, Ayala & Dellas.

Babbel is not slow at all, actually he was pretty quick last I saw him a few years ago. Not sure if you slowed down much since then.

Did U say "few years ago"? Yes sir, that WAS few years ago indeed. Now Babbel isn't the kid from 1996 anymore. Ten years passed already and as we all know time has it's corrosive effect. Wear & tear can slow down the human body mechanics my friend :rolleyes:

Babbel has been good for VFB.Not too many outstanding games and not too many bad games.
Not sure if he is good enough for the NT yet.

Lets just give him a chance. BTW we need some experience player to guide young player like Mertesacker and Huth.

For me an average Metzelder is better than an outstanding Babbel! Am I wrong?

Metzelder is probably the best centre-back in Germany.
