Former German international striker Paulo Rink has been sent on loan to Brazilian giants Flamengo by Champions League finalists Bayer Leverkusen it was reported in the press here Thursday.
The 28-year-old Brazilian-born naturalised German, capped 13 times, has signed a contract till December 2003.
Rink played no part in Leverkusen's extraordinary season last term when they lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, finished runners-up in the German league and lost in the German Cup final, as he was on loan to Nuremberg.
Rink has already spent time in Brazil on loan, having played for Santos in 2002
