Borussia Dortmund striker Jan Koller will spend at least three days in hospital after contracting pneumonia.
The Czech Republic international is out of Dortmund's next game with Nurnberg but may be available for the clash with Stuttgart.
The 31-year-old woke up feeling unwell and following investigation by doctors it was confirmed he had pneumonia.
"I had a headache and a fever this morning," explained Koller.
"I went to hospital and they confirmed it as an inflammation."
Koller's condition has started to improve and he acknowledges that the swift diagnosis has aided his recovery.
"It's good that the problem was intercepted early," admitted Koller.
"The headache remains but the fever has receded.
"When I breathe in, something still feels wrong with my chest."
I'm happy that the good doctors cought his problem early.....My bloody doctors didnt know that I had It until after I was better......I love the NHS :rolleyes:
