Loaned Senesie hits out
by Thomas Zeh - created on 10 Feb 2005

German Under-21 international Sahr Senesie will spend the next six months at Grasshoppers Zurich after Borussia Dortmund agreed a loan move with the Swiss club.

The 19-year-old forward, who was on target for his country in Germany's 4-0 win in Wales on Tuesday, is surplus to requirements under Dortmund coach Bert Van Marwijk and is glad to get the chance to leave the Westfalenstadion.

"Other players get a chance not because they are better, but because they are better paid," fumed the youngster.

"If I get a chance to star, I have to play up front or on the wings and that's not my game.

"I need match practice on a regular basis and not only until the summer.
"Dortmund are talking a lot about giving young players a fair chance, but I don't really believe in their words."

Just wondering.....does any of you agree that he derserves to be play in the first team?

His style is rather like Ewerton, Ricken and Odonkor, energetic, quick and usually play as a supportive striker behind Koller . So he must have to move for regular first team football i think

Yea well with those comments he just guaranteed himself some more time on the bench next season.

But it actually works for Odonkor at the beginning of the season. He said similar stuff when Leeds and some Italian clubs were interested in him, but the difference is he suddenly got a place in the first team straight after

Problem seems to be that Marwijk dont think hes good enough already to be the playmaker and Senesie aint performing well where Marwijk puts him, when he gets the chance to play. Logical solution to this problem is a loan deal.

Thought he is gone but just found out that he is still in Dortmund's reserve today when they played against Bochum, when is he leaving then?

I think he sucks. Odonkor is improving but this guy is just an underdeveloped skill. How come he has the guts to speak that tough when all his experience is less than a year.
