Well last night Jol said hes glad Defoe didnt play as he will be nice and fresh for a weekend. Hint at a start for him again?

We shoudnt under-estimate them. Twice before they've given us a battle to go against, i cant see this being any different.

The fact we have Forest at home next round will put both teams up for it as we should cruise past them!

I've heard Mido isn't allowed to play today which is a bit of a downer.

Michael Brown would love to banish two FA Cup heartbreaks and help take us all the way to Cardiff this season.

But there is no chance of the midfielder looking too far ahead after his experiences in the competition over the last couple of years.

Turn back to 2003 and he was in the Sheffield United side so unlucky to lose out to Arsenal in the semi-final at Old Trafford - Arsenal scored a controversial goal before David Seaman produced the save of the season.

And then there's last season and a tie that has already gone down in FA Cup history, unfortunately for us, for all the wrong reasons. Lest we forget, we led Browny's former team Manchester City 3-0 at half-time and they were down to 10 men before coming back to win 4-3.

We now face West Brom at home in a fourth round replay at the Lane on Saturday (kick-off 5.30pm) with the winners up against Nottingham Forest at home in round five.

"I haven't had the best of luck," smiled Browny at Spurs Lodge. "I would love to get to the final and at the moment we have the opportunity of two home matches to get to the quarter-finals.

"I suppose the danger is that you can look too far ahead but we know we face two tough games now.

"We haven't got a league game for a couple of weeks though so we can afford to concentrate on the FA Cup. It's down to us and we couldn't have asked for more than to be in this position."

Looking back, Michael feels we didn't play particularly well in the initial fourth round tie that ended 1-1 against West Brom at The Hawthorns.

"It wasn't great but we did the job, got a draw and went into the hat for the next round," he said. "It was a tough game and we'll expect nothing less again.

"West Brom have definitely picked up and although they lost at the weekend, they are playing better."

Ledley King is a doubt for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round replay against West Brom.

Our captain and central defender had to withdraw from England's friendly against Holland this week because of continuing groin problems.

Head Coach Martin Jol explained this afternoon: "We can push him but he's been complaining about the pain for the last couple of weeks. He could do with a rest, that's for sure.

"We are working on it. He's doing different programmes in the gym with the medical staff. He's played all the matches and you tend to get little muscular injuries."

Martin had some sympathy for Ledley as it looked almost certain he would have started at Villa Park with Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell and John Terry all missing.

"I'm sure it was disappointing for him," added Martin. "It was his chance to show what he could do. He's been outstanding this season, our best player.

"It's a bit unfortunate with the likes of Terry, Campbell and Ferdinand but I feel he's in the same bracket and he's a bit younger. It was his chance but I think they were sensible to pull him out."

Team News:

Martin Jol has injury doubts and cup-tied players to contend with as he prepares for tomorrow's FA Cup replay against West Brom.

Reto Ziegler (hamstring), Pedro Mendes (cheek) and Ledley King (groin) are all doubtful while Andy Reid and Michael Dawson (shin) - if he was fit - are both cup-tied having played earlier in the competition for Nottingham Forest.

Last weekend's two-goal hero Mido is also ineligible for the replay at the Lane.

Head Coach Martin was also waiting yesterday for medical assessments on internationals Robbie Keane, Thimothee Atouba, Fredi Kanoute, Noureddine Naybet, Simon Davies and Erik Edman.

He said: "Ziegler is not 100 per cent. He has trained with but he's still complaining. Mendes got a knock on his cheek, Sean Davis is still out and we have to make a decision on Ledley King."

Tottenham host West Brom in their FA Cup fourth round replay with manager Martin Jol sweating on the fitness of a number of players.
Skipper Ledley King is struggling with the groin injury that forced him out of England's international friendly with Holland in midweek, and central defensive partner Nourredine Naybet is battling to overcome a groin complaint of his own.
Meanwhile, recent signings Mido, Andy Reid and Michael Dawson will all have to sit out the game as they are cup-tied.
There is better news of Noe Pamarot who has shaken off the chest infection that kept him out of the win over Portsmouth last weekend, while Anthony Gardner will be available despite surgery on a broken nose.
Pedro Mendes is a slight concern with after sustaining a facial injury in training, but fellow midfielders Sean Davis and Reto Ziegler are definite non-starters due to back and hamstring problems respectively.
Fredi Kanoute faces a late fitness test on his groin injury.
Baggies boss Bryan Robson has selection headaches of his own with Jonathan Greening suspended from Saturday's clash.
That leaves the visitors struggling for options in midfield as Andy Johnson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury, while recent signings Richard Chaplow and Kieron Richardson are both cup-tied.
It means Jason Koumas, who has recovered from the bruised toe that forced him out of Wales' squad in midweek, should get a starting berth.
Martin Albrechtsen will be fit to return at right-back after overcoming a hamstring injury meaning that Riccardo Scimeca is likely to be pushed back into midfield.
Jol will be hoping home advantage will be enough to help Spurs see off the team he played for in the 1980's.
Skysports.com prediction: 3-0

Sky sports, im betting on that prediction!

We cant have Keane and Defoe upfront. It simply does not work at all. We need height upfront so we can launch the balls up the pitch.

Defoe and Kanoute for me.

First half, what shite. Absolutely appauling. 4-3-3 just doesnt work. Stick to the simple 4-4-2. West Brom battered us.

The three strikers dont play well enough to even try it again. Defoe and Keane cant play together no matter what, they dont even seem to want to!

Penalty - From where i was, it looked clear pen. Ive asked people who saw it on tv and its been 50/50. So obv its one of those some refs give, some dont.

Well worked free kick for our second, i thought Ziegler was gonna have a dig at it.

Davies - This fella deserves a special mention. He's reachin what he used to be. He played well today and for me, was man of the match for us. Just come back from hip injury and is looking like his old self.

Nicely through to the next round with Forest at home :USA_Blue

And u should be grateful u get all our rejects :salute

I said at half time "This games gonna go to penalties. Skip the extra time and go straight too them" What the **** happened!

I have never seen such shite penalties in my life!

Spurs would of actually gone through on penalties if we was playing either of u's to then :o

Ahh well, one time i want West Ham to win the **** up! :handbags Have to wait til next season ... in the cup ;)
