I like it, but where the **** did we get the money from? I guess this also rules out Pandiani.

The owner of Fiorentina is Diego della Valle the owner of Tods and many other shoes brands.

Still...13 million for an 18 year old? Plus giving up a player in the deal.

Fairly insane. Although I'm very happy the deal went through, it still worries me in regards to the finances.

WOW .. what a signing. But Bojinov could have waited and went to a bigger club... but I think it's better for his development maybe.

well done to the viola, very impressed indeed. imagine a few years from now if we have Genoa and Napoli back in the top flight with these same kind of moves, how exciting it could get!

Its a much better option than going to a bigger club. He's 18! What happens if he goes to a big club and flops? His name is hurt as is his confidence. Fiorentina is the perfect club.

Just read he was sold for 9.3m...

Fiorentina has to get a UEFA Cup spot now with all these signings. They have a squad with a lot of quality.

There's the rumour that Juve are behind this deal. Apparently Fiorentina will send him to Juve between June and two years time for the other half of Maresca and Miccoli (which cost 13m Euros).

How can they afford such high transfer fees having been broke a few years ago?

That's why there's that rumour...

wouldn't surprise me if this is true, still i find it weird that fiorentina decided to be the puttana of the vecchia puttana. :D

The clubs are quite on friendly terms considering all those transfers in the past summer so quite possible.

Rich owner or something. Palermo are the same, just got promoted last season yet seem to have quite a bit of money.
as for this Bojinov deal, great deal IMO. Pazzini, Miccoli and Bojinov up front, looks quality.
whatever any one says, Fiorentina's first aim for this season shoudl still be to stay up, seeing as theyre precariously above the relegation zone.

BTW, how many teams are going down this season? is it 3?

Bojinov is a class player and worth the 9.3m imo

I actually heard it was 4, with a 5th facing a play-off

Yes 3 teams going down.

You guys are over rating Palermo and Fiorentina's purchasing power. They are not that rich.

Oliver I still insist on Parma and Chievo and hope Atalanta somehow manage to stay up , I like their youth products.

who are probably gonna leave even if they stay up....

Javier Zanetti

You didn't understand me , I didn't mean I like their current youth products , I meant generally that I think most of the players that came from Atalanta are good , if the current ones will be sold others will come.

i like atalanta aswell, but it's not very likely they manage to stay up.
especially as they decided to sell some more players now.

I don't think Parma and Chievo will relegate. Too much quality.
