He was stated as saying in Kicker magazine that this wednesday he will make a decision if he doesnt get a reasonable offer from a Club....any thoughts? With his discipline troubles do you think anyone will make an offer?

i thought, as i claimed in another thread, that he had retired- but that's what i read ,well something about ballack replacing him anyway.
i actually admire effenberg in a way as he speaks his mind- i remember he was in trouble recently in germany for expressing his views on some political issue, which you have to give him credit for.
but he is certainly an obsolete member of the fc bayern squad in my opinion.

but he is still good enough to play...he has more skill than most midfielders out there...the trouble he got into was telling the german media that " the unemployed are too lazy to get jobs, because the welfare benifits pay too much"

yeah, that was the one!! i think good on him!!! i actually agree wiht him (of course, im no fountain of knowledge on the german welfare sysytem- but i assume it is the same everywhere).
but can he still play out a full game?? and surely, aprat from the fact he is a brillinat player, if no tthe best in the bundesliga, why else would they sign ballack if not as a repalcement for effenberg. but, of course, he is still a great player- perhaps he could go to schalke- i read on the main site in that article that we had only 13 fit players for the wolfsburg game!!

rumours are that an italian club and Manchester City made offers but he rejected them because of the low pay.... i respected his comments too, too many foriegners come to canada and go directly on welfare....i hope Effenberg finds a club, cause he still has great skill and has 2-3 good years left in him............maybe Man City will make a new offer???
