qoute from eurosport.om reads- Ten of Scotland's 12 Premier League (SPL) clubs have resigned from the league after failing to resolve their row with Celtic and Rangers..
does anyone have any thoughts about this...what happens now? do glasglow and celtic join premiership or does the scottish league die?

We all want them to leave, as i have said before i dont care if we dont get any outside intrest but it would be a very competitive abd enjoyable league for people who supported teams within it.
Basically what is going to happen is the 10 will leave and when they do leave the plan just now is to "invite" Rangers and Celtic to come with them to the new league which would turn out to be the same 12 clubs except the Old Firm would not have the final say in every desision that was made.
That was no the original plan but since noone else wants them it looks like we are going to be stuck with them.

RANGERS & CELTIC FANS KEEP USING THE REASONING THAT BECAUSE WELSH CLUBS PLAY IN ENGLISH LEAGUE THEN THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO AS WELL :??? THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE WELSH CLUBS HAVE BEEN IN THE ENGLISH LEAGUES SINCE THE BEGINNING & ITS WRITTEN IN THE ENGLISH LEAGUES LAWS THAT WELSH CLUBS BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. DID YOU KNOW THAT IF CARDIFF CITY WERE TO WIN THE PREMIERSHIP OR F.A CUP ( NOT VERY LIKELY THO ) THEY WOULD STILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN EUROPEAN COMPS THO :mad WERE ALSO NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE WELSH CUP, SO THEREFORE WELSH ENGLISH LEAGUE TEAMS ARE THE ONLY TEAMS IN EUROPE UNABLE TO EVER PLAY IN EUROPEAN COMPETITION :??? CARDIFF HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE TO JOIN THE LEAGUE OF WALES IF THEY WANT EUROPEAN GAMES ETC :sleep 2 MEN & A DOG ANYONE :) :)

what you wrote shed boy makes a lot of sense on behalf of the 'lesser 10' clubs. But was it always their intention to form a new league and invite rangers and celtic to it, but with limited powers. because i would have to agre with bluemoon that it would/may turn out to be like the welsh league. maybe??

I think we would have a competative league and i dont care about outside intrest. It would however just be nice to get the power of the OF reduced a wee bit.
Also a new argument for the OF moving is that Gretna who were previously been playing in some low english league have been elected to the Scottish third divison, they are technically moving from england to scotland, why did UEFA not block these plans??
