Does anyone know where can I check the German teams destinations for winter camps in 2005?
I am especially interested in Borussia Dortmund, I know they went to Marbella last year but what about this???
If you know of any other team that comes to southern Spain please let me know
thanks!!

Maybe on their website? Still being new to Euro football, how long does the break last? And what do clubs do, doing this break? Why do they have a break while EPL doesn't.

MOst nothern european leagues take a break during winter, I guess it is for the weather and the snow and stuff, it is just a guess...here in spain we dont have that break either.
Most teams come to spain (mallorca, marbella, la manga) and they practice and play friendly games for a couple of weeks or so. Normally the german teams come in the begining of January, then the swedish and norwegians in late February or march...

Think Dortmund will go to Switzerland or Austria. Dont know about the other BL-teams.
@bayer04: the break will last till 21 January it I remember right.
The clubs dont do much. As like the players. They have some weeks(2-3) off. Than a 2nd, smaller, pre-season starts to get back to the normal weight after the holidays. The reason why there is a break is because of the winter. The fields could become unplayable during this period. So its a tradition, like the tradition of the EPL to play through the winter.

Gran Canaria is one of the 7 islands that form the Canary Islands. It's a group of islands south-west of Spain, directly in front of the coast of Morocco. These islands are inhabited by Spaniards and are consequently a part of Spain and not Morocco. They are a very popular tourist attraction for North-Europeans, especially the elderly.
But regarding the EPL's omission of a winter break; I have no idea why. Most of England is actually further up north than Germany, so in theory the EPL should rather be the one taking the winter break. Maybe you can ask in the EPL forum?
