Bundesliga side Stuttgart could be the latest team to benefit from the recently relegated Brazilian giants Gremio.
Claudio Mejolaro, 22, has scored 19 goals already this season for the newly-demoted Brazilian team.
However, now faced with the financial struggle that relegation has brought, they are keen to cash in on their youngsters' talents during the winter transfer period.
Although Stuttgart's boss Matthias Sammer is yet to make a firm bid for Mejolaro, it is clear that he is on the lookout to bring fresh players into the squad.
He recently stressed that this will be the key to confirming Stuttgart's status as strong rivals for Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich, with the team currently third in the table.
The club have also recently been linked with Aston Villa's Thomas Hitzlsperger and Borussia Dortmund's Brazilian Dede.
