Reto Ziegler is facing up to three weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in the win over Blackburn on Saturday.
The Swiss under-21 midfielder has really made his mark in recent weeks and has started eight of our last nine games, establishing himself as a key figure down the left flank. His absence will be a blow to Martin Jol, who has praised the contribution of the 18-year-old since his introduction into the side.
"Reto pulled his hamstring during the matched at the weekend," reported Dr Charlotte Cowie this afternoon. "It was bad yesterday, but was a lot better today. The bit of work we need to do treatment-wise will help him further so we are not looking at a long-term injury.
"I guess we are looking at two to three weeks for him to recover fully."
Our full Treatment Table feature with Dr Charlotte will be posted on the site in the morning.
Bollocks, he was doing really well.
