Portugal, which faces the United States in its opening game at the World Cup, travels to Barcelona to face neighboring Spain Wednesday, Feb. 13, in its first match of 2002.

AC Milan star Rui Costa and midfield partner Armando Petit are out with injuries. Coach Antonio Oliveira may take another look at teenage sensation Hugo Viana , one of six players selected from Portuguese leader Sporting.
