Kaiserslautern midfielder Mario Basler has been fined around £2,000 by the German football federation for suggesting that referee Jurgen Jansen "shat his pants" during last week's Cup quarter-final against Bayern Munich.
The tie finished scoreless after extra-time and went to penalties. But Basler was furious that Jansen staged the shoot-out at the away supporters' end of the Betzenberg stadium citing "security concerns".
"Mr Jansen shat his pants and allowed the Bayern camp to influence him," he said. "It's typical of Bayern, who want to be in control of everything."
FCK midfielder Nened Bjelica missed the only kick, while Claudio Pizarro, Stefan Effenberg, Jens Jeremies, Owen Hargreaves and Mehmet Scholl were on target for Bayern in a 5-3 win.
