RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Three more coaches in the Brazilian championship have fallen since the weekend, all from clubs based in Rio de Janeiro.
Fluminense sacked Ricardo Gomes following Sunday's 1-1 draw at home to Paysandu on Sunday while Paulo Cesar Gusmao walked out on Flamengo and Mauro Galvao left Botafogo almost simultaneously on Monday.

Vasco da Gama were the only one of Rio de Janeiro's four first division clubs with a permanent coach on Tuesday as Flamengo announced that former midfielder Andrade would take over as caretaker for the second time this year.

The latest changes brought the number of coaching victims to 25 since the 24-team Brazilian championship started in late April.

Former Paris St Germain and Brazil defender Ricardo became the third coach to leave trouble-hit Fluminense this year after suffering the same fate as Renato Portaluppi and Valdir Espinosa.

Ricardo spent five months at the club, during which he struggled to maintain discipline over a squad which included so-called 'bad boys' Romario and Edmundo.

Gusmao, who began the championship in charge of Cruzeiro, left relegation-threatened Flamengo in protest at constant interference in the team from outside the coaching staff.

He complained that 'amateur' directors had gone into the changing room to take part in the halftime team talk during Saturday's 3-0 win over Gremio.

'I didn't imagine how much external factors would influence my work,' he said.

Botafogo's Mauro Galvao, whose team are 23rd in the table, blamed a lack of reinforcements for his decision to leave and added the team had run out of luck.

'Football is about results,' he told reporters. 'We played some good games, we managed to improve in some areas but, at a given moment, things stopped happening.'

In typical style, Gusmao was listed among the leading candidates to replace Ricardo at Fluminense and Ricardo was on the shortlist to take over from Gusmao at Flamengo.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Oswaldo de Oliveira, sacked as coach of Corinthians in May, was fired by Vitoria on Thursday, the club announced on its official website.

Oliveira, who lasted 14 matches at his latest club, was dismissed after Wednesday's 4-1 defeat against 10-man Parana in the Brazilian championship.

The club immediately named Helio dos Anjos as his replacement in the 26th coaching change since the competition began in late April and the fifth in the last week.

Relegation-threatened Paysandu replaced Givanildo with Adilson Batista last Friday before three of Rio de Janeiro's four clubs parted company with their coaches in a 24-hour spell.

Fluminense fired Ricardo Gomes on Sunday evening while Flamengo coach Paulo Cesar Gusmao and Botafogo's Mauro Galvao walked out almost simultaneously on Monday afternoon.

It was a remarkable episode even by the standard's of Brazil's unrivalled coaching merry-go-round.

Oliveira, meanwhile, is one of three coaches who have parted company with two clubs during the course of the championship.

Gusmao was fired by defending champions Cruzeiro earlier in the competition before joining Flamengo while Emerson Leao was sacked by both Santos and Cruzeiro, where he had taken over from Gusmao.

Flamengo and Fluminense are still coach-less but Botafogo have brought in Paulo Bonamgio to replace Mauro Galvao and he gave them a winning start with a 2-0 win over Santos on Wednesday.
