I was thinking, now that Adriano has established himself as a top goal scorer for the N.Team, and as R9+Ronaldinho are untouchables in the squad will the team have 2 strikers and 1 supporting or keep with ronnie+kaka supporting r9 upfront? Personally as an INTER fan id like to see Adriano in there but i know that kaka is really good and r9 is also left footed so is that going to be r9 against Adriano or is he up against kaka?

Please,
Adriano is hot stuff now, but there's still Luís Fabiano. I wouldn't want to descard him that easy....

Very true but you still aint answered the questions, or if you think that l.fabiano deserves the place id still like to know. You seem to know quite alot about brazilian football.

I'll repeat, Parreira is a very conservative defensive coach, he's likely to live it the way it is, unless something tragic happens or he finds himself in a practice game.....

Parreira was very excited about Adriano after Copa America... everyone was, I know, but Parreira was especially excited.. because Adriano didnt have the prestige he has in Italy here in Brazil.. and he is insisting with him since Confed Cup, and now it paid off... I think Parreira is definitely thinking about a 2 strikers, 2 attacking midfielders formation.. and no. .R9 isnt leftfooted..

In home games against weaker sides like Venezuela or Equador, he may try something like

-------------Dida------------------
Cafu-----Lucio-----Juan---Roberto Carlos
--------Juninho----Gilberto-------------
Kaka-----------------------Ronaldinho
-------Adriano---Ronaldo-------------

Who said LF is descarded?? he is still part of the 22 squad.. but everyone knows that now Adriano is the superior striker.. I did know that even before Copa America.. because while Adriano was a scoring machine for Parma and scoring stunning goals for Inter in the last Serie A season, LF was scoring for Sao Paulo in the Brazilian League.. I know that he is very impressive.. but hey, even Dimba could score 31 goals last season, so we know that a player doesnt prove to be World Class until they can make it among the best..

Adriano has been performing in Europe for a while now.. when he was 19 or 20, was loaned to Fiorentina and was one of their best players.. while when LF was 19 or 20, he failed while playing for Rennes in France..

I know LF is not discarded, I'm telling him (the sweet) not to discarde LF...Now, their playing performance abroad is not proof of anything. I know LF needs to improve his attitude, but Do you remeber who coached Rennes when LF was there???Wasn't the same man who coached Ronaldinho when he was in PSG??? POIS É!!!!!!!Search him up, u have an answer....

Yeah. .I know.. it was Luiz Fernandez... For me LF is the third best striker in Brazil... but after seeing Adriano outscoring him 7-2 and more.. participating more in the game, trying harder and being more active, I have few doubts of who is Ronaldo substitute

Are they the only 3 strikers that are worth mentioning for the brazil squad?

there are plenty more, just most are still young: Robinho, Gil, Cahe, etc...

Well.. today, it seems we have a lack of strikers... not counting the 3 World Class players we have in Ronaldo, Adriano and LF, the others are just too young or too old...

Elber, Amoroso, Ailton, Jardel, Edmundo, Romario, Sonny Anderson, Geovanni, Savio are all above 30 and past their prime, Ailton being the exception, but he never got a cap, I dont see him earning one now..

Robinho and Vagner Love are great.. but they are too young.. maybe in 2 years they will be one of the best... I like Robinho, but I am a Vagner fan.. the guy is just too good...

Gil is already 24..almost 25 and he isnt anything special.. he has only one dribble and has been disappointing for the last 2 years...

Ricardo Oliveira has the quality to get an occasional cap.. but he isnt good enough to start for Brazil National team.. when you think about Brazil´s attack, you think about World Class players only.. and a good/efficient player cant be our number nine.. same about França, who is shining now for Bayer Leverkusen...

The rest is the rest.. not good enough

True, I know most of the guys you mentioned but I only managed to remeber the 3 superstars.

Agree, e.g. Dagoberto(Atletico PR) young, Alex Dias (Goiás) old....
