Bury have made a deal with a creditor company so that they pay 10p of every £1 of their debts.

The shakers have been in administration since last March and this now gives Save Our Shakers Trust the opportunity to run the club day to day and try to clear Bury of their crisis

I think giving the club to the supporters is a good idea because now a days it isnt just joe bloggs working down the pits who watch there local football team it is qualified people in suits in variety of jobs after all where would the club be without the supporters :???

after all where would the club be without the supporters :???

Although it sounds quite good in principle, I dont think I would realistically like to have the supporters run my club. I wouldn't feel very secure about the future or the present knowing that the supporters are running it.

Some supporters think they know it all, and I could guarantee, they would ruin the club without even realsing it. After, all who the hell are we?? We pays our money and thats it. What the hell do we know about running a club?

As I say, it sounds good, but I just don't think it's very practical. I'm gonna be old-fashioned here, and say let's leave it to the top dogs..

Ready to get slammed.. :wink

i think the supporters should have a large say in the running of a club.

large say but not overall control. there needs to be someone who knows what to do. mind you at present many clubs have people who dont know what they are doing!!!

Would a supporters trust or something along these lines not have a similar effect? Maybe have a say in the club's affairs but not a major one...

Give the trust a say but not overall control or anything.. I know clubs have taken this approach. Not sure how it really works or how successful it is though!! :eek
