Milan may consider an approach for Lazio’s Claudio Lopez given Pippo Inzaghi’s fitness worries.
The Italian is still suffering with an ankle injury which could again hamper him in the new campaign.
Inzaghi has been forced to rest for the next six weeks and Milan are considering their options should no significant improvement be noted.
The capital club would like to sell the Argentine (pictured) given the fact that he earns £1.4m a season – too much for the cash-strapped outfit.
However, no decision will be made about the attacker’s future until a new Coach is appointed in Rome.
Meanwhile, Lazio could sign Luis Jimenez after they reportedly opened talks with Serie B side Ternana.
The Chilean midfielder is an exciting prospect and he’s also caught the eye of Brescia and Fiorentina.
Ternana are believed to be after £3m for the South American who scored nine goals in 34 games last season.
Lazio are set to offer £1.5m for a 50 per cent stake in his contract which would still see him arrive in Rome.

Lopez was one of my best players at Lazio, I can still remember his happiness when he scores a goal he just looks like a baby, he becomes so happy and his smile reaches his ear....
I remember the nice Ketchup dance he enjoyed with Corradi last season...
But he gets injured too much and I believe he must leave Lazio
I wish you best of luck with him !!!!
But please do take him .... ;)

ramy, the only way when you are down is up, we will be back, and who knows maybe since you are competitive for the title next season, in the end of the season, when we would garaunteed relegation, and you play us and you need a win to get the title, and then we thrash you like we did on 5 May :laugh , you know that would be enough satisfaction for next season, even if we end up in Serie B :laugh
You will continue rolling back the movie "1989 till now, and only ****" :laugh

Nope, Jennifer Lopez is an all-round "entertainer" :unsure
:D
We may be down, but Lazio sure is not out - if we get relegated and you lot don't win the title (again :salute ) than it will be disaster for both Curva Nords - but I'm sure you Nerazzuri are used to not winning anything by now! :salute

btw i think lopez is excellent, but remember milan should buy younger striker. So if Sheva gone old, somebody with the skill will going to be a fantastic replacement..

But what I read is that Milan want Lopez on loan, so they will use him only until Inzaghi is back.....

The point is KD we cannot afford his wages and he wont take a pay cut, things have gone bad between Lopez and Lazio and he didnot go to Japan although he was called by the club !!!!

I didn't hear about him not going to Japan?
But in this case I'd rather sell him and get something (even if it's just a little amount because we aren't in a position to negotiate) from him instead of El Piojo joining another club without us getting something in return.

Lopez set for Mexico

by James Pearson
Argentina star Claudio Lopez is free to sign for Mexican outfit America after reaching an agreement with Lazio on the remainder of his contract.
America have been in talks with the former Valencia star for the past few days, but were unable to conclude a deal, as he was still under contract to the Biancoceleste.
Lopez will join a host of foreign stars at the Mexico City-based outfit, as the team already have the likes of Reynaldo Navia, Ricardo Valenzuela, Horacio Ameli and Djalminha on their books.
The 30-year-old has spent the last eight years in Europe, but has failed to recapture his best form in Serie A following a successful spell at El Mestalla.
With Lopez commanding a wage of €2.5 million a year with Lazio, the club were keen to offload him, although it is believed he has agreed a similar package with
