The ban has probably cost Bowyer a world cup place. He's brought this on himself though and deserves everything he gets. Hopefully Henry, Veiera, Bergkamp and Viduka will now get bans too.

All I want to see is Bowyer, Vieira, Henry & Hasselbaink on the field!! They are all excellent players and it´s a shame they are needlesslly suspended.

Bowyer got his 6 match ban, is a ban for three offensives put together.
1) Getting sent of for elbowing an opposition player. (Violent Conuct) which is a 3 match ban.
2) Getting his second red of the year. Which is an automatic added one match ban.
3) Swearing and using foul language at a Refree, which he got a two match ban, he actual lucky he didn't touch or shove the refree as that is demend as violent conduct on a refree which has a minimum 3 match ban, upto 6 matchs.

Henry will get something like a two match ban plus a hefty ban, but there is a insteresting story, is that the FA review panel, is spilt most want to give him a one match ban and a large hefty fine (two weeks wages), but some (The Hardliners, the old gits) want to make a example of him and hand him a six week ban instead plus the hefty fine.
Also the difference between Bowyer is that he sweared at the refree, while in Henry report I think Poll said he did swear at hiom, but Shearer says he didn't. Also Shearer is defending him, and nobody defended Bowyer, including the Club.
Also the FA can't use that he had a arguement with the refree in the Greece champions league match and also the Newcastle match and decided to ban him for more matches, as it has nothing to do with the FA disciplinary Commitee, as European Cup bans are the sole responsibility of the UEFA disciplinary Commitee, not the FA.

I think Henry should be banned for 6 matches, as too should Viduka for elbowing Keown. If the top players are made an example of, it may deter other players from doing it in the future.

But what I´m questioning is the FA system in WHOLE!
They don´t give as much suspension (except for drugs)
in Italy or Spain.. and they still have good leagues.

FA should lessen bans (automatic ban for 5 cards etc)
or they shoulve given Bowyer less suspension for elbowing&swearing.

Can someone please explain why Bowyer gets banned for six matches for swearing at a ref having already served a three game ban for the sending off? Get me a video of any Premiership game and I will show you a player swearing at a ref. Stop victimising Leeds and Arsenal. Bowyer gets six games for swearing, yet Carragher gets four games for throwing a coin at the crowd! I hope the FA don't judge me if I ever go to court.

I suppose that´s one of the main reasons, because I just don´t buy into the idea that ARse/Leeds are 10 times dirtier than Pool/Arse. I have seen the matches.. they are equally dirty for sure!! Some players just get cards easier, it´s up to the refs.

Im not endorsing wat Lee did but i think 4 something that happened on field last season,i dont see they point in waiting this long top punish someone.I think it was wrong wat Lee did but with his last 12 mths i think it would have been best forgotten.Also Alan Smiths suspension 4 the offence agaisnt cardiff city was anb absolute joke.Smith is unfairly targeted by sections of the media and some referees are quick to jump on his back. :mad

The one person who seems to have got off lightly is LeSaux, that tackle against the Leeds player was a disgrace and the referee should have been disciplined himself for only giving a yellow card
