I would have owen ahead of linekear because he will become all time record goal scorer and I think he wud thrive on shearer flicks on. Plus how did gazza get in ahead of hoddle and robson?

Gazza was class man! He was Hard, strong, had the odd Pint and was a bit chubby sumtimes. But he scored when it mattered, dont know if youve seen him play mate!

In time owen will be there but how could u ever think of leaving lineker out with being Englands second highest alltime goal scorer.Plus i would of had Jimmy greaves up front with lineker.if it wasnt for injury he would of played in the 1966 world cup finals.Greaves was the man and would of won us the world cup! Geoff hurst was never in Greaves class as a goal scorer but im glad he played cos u all know the rest and what happened :clap Also on midfield id of had bryan robson in there simply he was a better winner of the ball than gazza.if it wasnt for his dodgy shoulder he would of played more games :woot with Charlton going forwards in midfield u need someone like robson to hold it alltogether

I don't think so - Lineker was hardly a hard man like Shearer. In fact, he was a very similar player to Sheringham and what an England partnership they made up front!

Given that England has never produced a world class right-back, I'd play 3-5-2 of:

Banks

Pearce
Moore (c)
Adams

Finnay
Gascoinge (presumably the idea of a dream team is that you can pick the players at the top of the career, in which case there's no-one better)
B. Charlton
Beckham
Matthews

Shearer (to be replaced by Owen in a few years)
Lineker

The trouble with dream teams is you've got to think about how well your players would play together. I'd probably pick Owen as being better than Shearer, but given that I've got five creative geniuses in midfield, all I want is some goal-hangers to get on the end of everything, and they don't come much better than those two.

why the hell was beckham picked. hes a good player in an ok team, not like with some others weve had. lets have matthews on the right wng.
as for forest boys team, gary neville right back? are you mad? viv anderson should be there ahead of hio for one, and george cohen

Viv Anderson should of been in there ur right manic He was devastating in his time going forwards he didnt get the nickname spider for nothing with his long legs.Viv must of won every honour in the game and look at who he played for.plus Viv had to share England right back position with phil neal aswell (& id say Anderson was way better than neal aswell)or he would of had more caps.He was a big part of the forest winning side of 1978 who won the old Division one championship in the first season after getting promoted from div 2.gary neville hasnt really had anyone else to challenge him for the right back spot so its no wonder he's got 61 caps already. No way is Neville in Viv Andersons class put in the same england squad to play in a major championship Neville would only get a game if Anderson was injured or suspended.
