I tend not to spend mass amounts of money on one player, on 01/02 7 seasons into the game with spurs(7 prem titles, 3 euro cups, 4 f.a cups, 3 league cups with reserves) the most I spent on one player wos 15million for djibrill cisse- well worth it 32 goals in first season. I dont like paying high wages either, my highest being about 40,000. here r players i find to be good value for money:
gk- weaver, abbiati
df- clarke carlise, panyai
md- adrian ricchiuti,simon davies
att- cisse, ronaldhino
oh yeah can ne1 get guadiola on a free?

i never spend money if it can be helped. I buy cheap players who will become great, and not big name players. I like the satisfaction of my getting huge profits from players

But if you have a succesive team and loads of money in the bank (like 20MĢ).. what is the money worth in the bank? Iīm ready to spend, if I get a guaranteed big time player! And wages: if you want like Kluivert, would you not meet his 50 000Ģ demands just to get him! I wouldnīt make it an issue of 10 000Ģ/week just to keep them decent.
My big problem (if Iīm GM of a good team) is that there are a bunch of fabulous young player, but there is not enough time for all of them! Bummer.. I know they all could develop to something special, but I have to choose between like Bowyer/Murphy.. or Deus/Henry..

Normally pay not much due to normally start as Fulham who in my version are mid range 1st Division team, in 99/00, due to the money they have and buy a few Under-21 players normally from Sweden or Norway at first as always manage on 99/00 as a Swedish coach.
I also have the 01/02 which i also play but use it mainly as a database tool to buy youth International players.
Normally during first three season buy in the following way. Buy class Under-21 Internationals from Sweden and other Scandinavian countries and young full Internationals (22-24)
By the fourth year half of these are full Internationals for the respected country with at least 10 caps.
Normally during the game with Fulham (10 years), I sell about 20 players and buy the same amount.
Normally half are Under-21 Internationals and atleast 6 are full Internationals when I bought them, out of the Under-21's about 70-80% become regular full Internationals within 2-4 years, the younest i bought is a Swedish Under-21 International aged 16 by 20 was a full International with 5 caps.
i nava knew i was such a bad manager...i pay about 2 million on top of value and buy expensive players with big wages!

signed guardiola for rangers. He's not that good but he'll score a few goals. You have2 get him at the start with high wages and as an important first team player. He usually goes to ipswich- European Football.
What tactics to you use?

My best buy was Ged Kimmins from Hednesford,Ģ10,000 scored enough goals keep Crewe in the first division for two years and into the Prmier League, usless there though. Tactically 4-5-1 an attacking formation, two attacking midfielders with high values make it easy as you score goals for fun.An assistant manager who like the offside trap helps

Try playing with a really small side. I'm half way through my second season with South Melbourne. I haven't spent any money and yet I still find myself 800,000 in debt. I can't sell any of my players which are generally valued around the 50,000 mark and the only way to get fresh faces to my squad is through the youth team or free transfers.
Luckily I came across a young superstar in my first week of management of the club. Tallen Martin, striker, 16 year olds, Australian on a free transfer. Played 40 games, scored 36 goals, 9 assists, 10 man of matches.

For a while playing a small side is interesting..
But even if you succeed itīs totally frustrating - because you wonīt get top players to your club (if you go money - they will not come, if you donīt got money.. :cry ).
I donīt care that much if I donīt have cash, but if you can not even attract some top free agents!!! Pisses me off!
And the young hot players might have a "big club" -clause on the contract. What then!!! Some Ī#%#&& Premier side comes in and snatches your top player. Thank you very mutch.
