Spot on!..... when Roy Keane was injured Butt played out of his skin.. the most underated United player.... and I can't think why, at least Alex Ferguson knows the value of him and that's all that matters.

actually yes, the first time I saw the carrothead brothers Butt&Scholes I was dewastated, sick and angry because of the ugly play, late tackles and unnecessary violence&havoc they caused every time they entered the pitch (as a sub at the time).

I begun to loathe them because of their Dennis Wise -game and also both of them looked like they had little footy skills. After that Scholes has proved me wrong and now I rate Scholes high (especially for England shirt).

But Butt.. he´s still to convince me. He still looks and plays like the same little, dirty b**. He´s guilty until proven otherwise.

no, no boys.. England world cup hopes never were build around one man (Gerrard, or even Becks or Owen). If you say that, you are overrating Gerrard big time.

I think England stands still where they were couple of weeks ago, injuries to Dyer/Gerrard has not changed nothing. TEam England is a coesive unit that has spirit and effort - that´s why they still got a chance.

Of course combined losing all Gerrard, Becks, Dyer and Butt - that could have a massive negative influence. But one or two of them.. naaah. France losing PIRES is a bigger blow to them than Gerrard to England.

Gerrard will be missed, but if Beckham is fit then I still think we`ll do ok. We need some playmakers and players who are unpredictable, as it stand we should have Cole, Beckham and maybe Dyer for that in m/f. Gerrard as well would have been good, but we aint! hmmm possibly cos Gerrard has missed quite a few games. the fact is they have a better understanding cos they play together at club level. simple as.
