1.It wasn;t a Francis buy, it was a jordan one, although Francis does like him as a player.
2.At 2.2 million it seems quite a gd buy, hes got a great record, over his entire career hes got 94 goals in bout 220 odd games, and most of them are at div. 1 level.
3.Palace have got suprisingly good financial resources.

The idiot at the top, Dougie Freedman was the top scorer for Forest in the 1999-2000 season. Before he was dropped and then sold to Palace, so how couldn't he score, and if he cant, what does that say about your other players. Yesterday Akinbiyi had 2 well taken goals disalowed for offside, so he cant finich? and hasn't got touch? I agree with the next Ade Akinbiyi and want to add that how many people have seen him play, noticing his lack of form, other than at Leicester this year? 5million seemed a good price to pay for him at the time for Taylor and Akinbiyi needed a decent player alongside him.
