Boss David Moyes is considering resting - at least to the bench - Everton's World Cup-bound stars for the trip to Double winners Arsenal, now the result cannot influence the destination of the championship.
Joe-Max Moore is already with the United States squad, and it is likely Swedish pair Niclas Alexandersson and Tobias Linderoth, Denmark's Thomas Gravesen and the Republic of Ireland's Lee Carsley could be left out.
Moyes said: "We obviously have the World Cup to consider and to decide whether the lads play or not."
Moyes is already without the suspended Duncan Ferguson, Alessandro Pistone and Nick Chadwick - both with groin strains - and Jesper Blomqvist with an Achilles problem.
So Kevin Campbell, playing against his former team, and Tomasz Radzinski are likely to be paired in attack.
Should Arse field weaker side too?
