Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa has named 12 of his 23-man World Cup squad, and Rangers' veteran striker Claudio Caniggia is included despite his knee injury.
Caniggia, who was in the Argentina side which won the 1990 trophy, injured his knee in the Gers' cup final success against Celtic at the weekend, and there were fears he may have damaged ligaments.
But, with Bielsa deciding to name the players whose club concerns are over for the season, the 35-year-old's place on the plane to Korea/Japan has been confirmed.
Argentina are considered England's main rivals in Group F, and the countries clash on June 7 in Sapporo.
Defenders: J Chamot (AC Milan), W Samuel (Roma) M Pochettino (Paris St Germain).
Midfielders: C Husain (River Plate), D Simeone (Lazio), M Gallardo (Monaco), J Zanetti (Inter Milan).
Forwards: A Ortega (River Plate), C Caniggia (Rangers), G Batistuta (Roma), C Lopez (Lazio), H Crespo (Lazio).
