Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri is ready to move for Bayern Munich fullback Willy Sagnol.
The Sun says Ranieri wants to sign a right-back before the transfer window closes next week, believing that Glen Johnson doesn't have the necessary experience to maintain his place this term.

Chelsea will also offload Mario Melchiot at the end of the season, which has convinced Ranieri to prepare a £5 million bid for Frenchman Sagnol this week.

it would be stupid of bayern to let Sagnol go and 5M is not enough to be honest.

STUPID
And all the money in the world cant make Bayern sell Sagnol THIS month, the remaining of the season is very crucial for Bayern. If they could get Hinkel next season it might be a good idea to sell Sangol..

why do they need S? Glen Johnson is more than good enough for Premier.. and that´s where Chelsea will be playing this season and next!

It WOULD be stupid for Bayern to let him go but £5m is enough. What do you want to give him for £10m?

Sagnol is underrated that's why his market price is low. At the moment Hinkel has higher value.

our defence is in total s|it, that is why every defender is important. if they want Linke, they can have him for free.

Sagnol was bought for €5m I think, so to sell him, the price must be over €10m... He is underrated, he is part of french national team and will replace Thuram when he retires... Not to say he seems pleased at Bayern...

Melchiot, since coming from Barca he played only 2(3) matches in 3 years-thats what happens if you join a club with 40 players

you are not being realistic

1. he´s a DEFENDER
2. Bundesliga players rarely get high transfer fees.. what´s the highest you remember? An how many over € 10m transfers has there been in Bundesliga (or including Bundesliga players)?
