Inter will fine star striker Christian Vieri after he pulled out of the 0-0 draw against Udinese. Vieri was called into the club’s Via Durini headquarters on Wednesday to explain his actions which are understood to have angered boss Albert Zaccheroni. Zac wanted the player to be part of the squad for the Coppa Italia tie but the Italian insisted that he should stay in Milan to train.
That led to speculation today that Vieri could be sold with immediate effect, possibly to Chelsea, but the club have moved to calm the storm. "With regard to the misunderstanding concerning the squad for the Udinese-Inter game, Vieri is ready to accept the disciplinary measures of the club," read an Inter statement. The player also seemed to mirror the views of his employers. "I’ve spoken with the club over what happened," he said on the Inter website. "I will accept whatever they decide."

So it was no rumour afterall. I find this a bit strange, because Zaccheroni's squad against Udinese contained a lot of reserves. Zac would have been a fool to let a injury sensitive striker play along with some reserves. Moreover Inter has unfortunately admited that they don't fancy the Coppa Italia. I really don't see what pathetic games are being played at the headquaters, I beginning to smell a conspiracy. Just forget the league which you can't win anymore and start concentrating at the Coppa and Uefa Zac or you'll end up like Cuper with no silverware at all.
