German champions Bayern Munich are about to swoop for Santos midfielder Renato, according to Brazilian media reports.
The 24-year-old Brazilian international is set to move to the Olympic Stadium after the winter break according to Santos' director of football Francisco Lopes, who claimed that a deal was almost finalised.
No financial details of the move have been revealed.
Renato has scored 20 goals in 157 league appearances for Santos and is generally regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in Brazil.
