Full team yes but the German cup always does this.
Big clubs don't care if they lose really.

so what is the point in having them then? Same story happens in Italy and Spain and England...

Well in the early round all the Bundesliga clubs play away to mostly non-Bundesliga clubs.
It gives the smaller clubs a chance to play against the big boys aswell as the Financial incentives.
Plus with possible shocks with the big clubs always in the firing line-it is good fun.
