Just days after being linked with Inter, Italy boss Giovanni Trapattoni is being touted to swap jobs with Roma’s Fabio Capello.

The Azzurri tactician is only contracted with the Italian Federation until the end of Euro 2004 which has led to mass speculation over his future.

It is unclear at this stage whether Trap wants to remain with the national side after four years in the job.

That has led to reports that he is looking to get back into club management with Roma a possible destination.

If that happens then it is highly probable that current Giallorossi boss Fabio Capello could take the Italy post.

Although Capello has got Roma playing at the highest levels again, he has clashed with President Franco Sensi on numerous occasions in the past which could lead to his exit.

Trap would certainly be welcomed in the capital by star man and club captain Francesco Totti.

That is because Trap has looked to build a competitive Azzurri side around the Roman rather than the likes of Alex Del Piero or Christian Vieri.

Trap has also been associated with a return to Inter for the 2004/05 campaign if Hector Cuper is shown the door.

Trap?!
NO GRAZIE!

He won the last title with inter in 1989(Klinsman,Mattäus,Bergomi,Brehme...) and a Championship with Bayern München in the mid 90's.

But Giovanni plays so damn defensive and i'm afraid he would even send our offensive youngsters De Rossi, D'Agostino and Cassano back to the primavera squad...
(just kiddin)

Capello...resta con noi!
