I am a spanish guy living in Thailand and I am trying to contact Atletico Madrid fans in here probably to set up an Atletico Madrid members club or similar. He needed time to recover from an old injury and has not played much yet except a couple of friendlies... But with Atletico doing so badly, dont you think the manager should at least give him a try!?

well i hope you do stick around. you should get used to seeing messages you don't like because that's the good thing about this forum, everyone has a different oppinion and not afraid to show it, unlike on some other message boards.

I'm like Atletico alot. I'm trying to be a fan of it, and I would like to know more about them. I feel bad for the poor performance too, I wonder why... :(

Hey! Any news on Nikolaidis?

Since his first game (when he did not score, but his use coincided with the first Atletico win after a looong time), he played in two more games scoring in both and when both were won by Atletico! :clap

He is not 100% yet as he was coming from a very serious injury and seems to be settling well in Spain!

If we have any Atletico fans here of people who saw him play, do tell me your views!

Hey to all, i'm an Atleti fan 100% , we won yesterday 1-2 against the difficult Betis, Demis didn't score but did his job very good earning a penalty that become the game winner , it's great after our poor start we won 4 in row, outscoring our rivals 13-3 in the last 4 matches , Torres scored twice again and now have 7 goals in the last 4 matches.
Nikolaidis has won a deserved spot in the eleven-man squad , he is very good with his head and battles all the balls , a great sign .
If u can't , don't lose the equalizer Atletico goal against Betis (1 -1 ) it's a wonderfull volley from Torres , one of the best goals till now in La liga , and next game against Villareal maybe 5 in a row!!!!

I am obviously very happy for Demis, and he is still not settled 100% after his time off and his moving to Spain quite old... I hope he can improve even more ...

Funny, and very correct what you said about his headers! And he is very very short you know!

Hey Dirceu! What's a surpise i living in Thailand! (Thai girl) i would love to help if you will set up member club or anything. Although i'm not 100% Atl. Madrid fan but i watch every match they play. I like Fernando Torres since he and his Spain's youth team were champion about few years ago. Hope they getting better but their last 3 games were great! and El Niño is back :D I also like Lequi, he´s from River Plate my fave team! and he did very good job.

I dunno,sinceraly I don´t think that Torres leaves of Atleti,Atleti is a giant,for history is the third spanish team more important,anyway if Fernando has to leave,I think that he will go to Italy or England,I don´t think that he plays for other Spanish side.

I think that Torres could stay on for another year at least if Atletico make it to Europe. But despite theur xcellent run this is not as easy as it sounds.

On Wednesday they play REAL in te BIG CAPITAL DERBY! Needless to say that Greek TV shows the game LIVE for Demis' sake! :clap

Demis has some major weaknesses but he has always been ne of the gratest talents Greek Football ever produced in Strikers. I am sure that from now on and since he became a basic 11 player you too will start to recognise some of his shortcomings (but who is perfect anyway). Thepoint is that this man wasted his best years in an Problem Striken AEK only due to his love for the club.

Demis should play abroad much earlier. But then again, maybe now his experience helped him sirvive the competition (up to now of course). Sometimes big talents get squashed due to circumstances and bad luck.

All the best to Demis and Atletico! :clap I hope they can manage a European Spot for the sake of the good team that begins to be formed for them after a long time.
