In Holland it's de Kuip from Feyenoord quite sure.....

I've been in Nou Camp, everybody told me it was soooooo impressive but when I saw I was a bit disappionted, is that the most beautiful stadium in Spain, or Bernabeu???

ArenA most beautiful IMO

but there's a better atmosphere in "de Kuip". But that has nothing to do with beautiful..

I like football-only stadiums, because there is more atmosphere. I can't chose wich one is the most beautiful lol. I'd got with Celtic Park, and Bollaert in Lens.

In Italy the best stadium is PROBABLY San Siro (even if they have grass problems as we said in another trhead).

The worse is WITHOUT DOUBTS Delle Alpi.

In terms of looks then its the Millenium, but thats in Wales and is a national stadium, so probably St James' Park (Newcastle) for looks in England. And Atmosphere, i was well impressed with Highbury (but thats a dump)

Aylesbury United's Buckingham Road stadium.

Check it out... (http://www.aylesburyunited.co.uk/club/stadium.php)

Good enough for England to train at. :D

Seriously, in England I really cant comment as I've only been to about 6 or 7 stadiums.

If you ask foreigners, most will simply say ArenA is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world!

And I think it is too.. it is beautiful, even tho the atmosphere is not always great..

Now for the best looking one, I rather liked the one in Cardiff where the FA cup is played.

in India, there arent too many football stadiums

well the most popular is the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/asia/india/kolkata_saltlake.jpg

its pretty huge....120000 seater

it home to 4 clubs

East Bengal
Mohun Bagan
Mohammedian Sporting
Tollygunge

the first two clubs are the most popular in india....they are arch rivals...during derby days the stadium is overful with more than 120000 people.....though it exceeds its maximum capacity!

I would love to say OT by I have to agree with IBES, the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff is fantastic, inside and outside

Neither OT or COMS are very pleasing on the eye outside at ground level if im gonna be frank

Cant judge the Millenium for atmosphere though as only cup finals are played there so are guaranteed to be louder, except when arsenals 10,000 fans turn up to fill their 30,000 allocation :laugh

In England a few stand out.

Obviously over the last ten years or so, loads of new stadiums have been built, and many others have been majorly revamped.

A hate the pre-fab generic St Mary's Riverside Pride of Light Walkers Stadium, that several clubs have adopted.

Disgraceful. For views and facilities etc, they may be good, but they're soulless and plastic, and there's half a dozen clubs with exactly the same stadium.

Stadiums in England that I like:

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/north_east/newcastle_st_james_park.jpg
Yes, there is bias being a Newcastle fan, but it is genuinely a lovely ground. I love the way that the roof of the Milburn and Leazes stands (the two big ones) jopin up, and have transparent panels in the roof to let the light in.
I like the way that it's lop-sided as well. It adds something.
The East stand (on the right) can't be built up anymore because behind the stand is a beautiful Georgian terrace which is grade one listed.
The Gallowgate (at the bottom) may at some stage be built up, and have the road behind go underneath, but because of the East stand, it will always be lop sided, and I like that.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/north_west/manchester_old_trafford1.jpg
Old Trafford. A superb ground.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/north_west/liverpool_goodison_park.jpg
It's a bit scruffy, but although you can't really see it on the picture, Goodison Park's got a lot of character about it, and I quite like it.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/north_west/bolton_reebok.jpg
The Reebok Stadium. I think it looks great and it didn't cost a great deal to build.
Boro, Derby, Southampton, Stoke et al the other pre-fab clubs take note.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/north_west/liverpool_anfield.jpg
Not my favourite, but I do like Anfield a lot.

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/united_kingdom/england/london/london_highbury.jpg
Highbury's great. I really love all the Art-Deco stuff. The away end isn't the greatest, but it's not that bad.

Grounds in England I like that I haven't been to.

De Kuip is a beautiful stadium. It breaths football atmosphere by itself.

I also like th renewed Nieuw Galgewaard (FC Utrecht).

I think these are the best two stadiums in Holland.

Pretty soon Heerenveen will expand it's capacity to 28.000 (15.000 now I believe). Curious to see how that will work out.

And I've always been a fan of 'De Koel' (VVV) and NAC's old stadium at the Beatrixlaan.

Capacities:

My University (ITESM) - 40'000 / Full every game
Aztec - 115'000 / ~45'000 average
Olympic - 75'000 / ~45'000 average

Reluctantly, I have to say the City of Manchester Stadium (although not too reluctant, as it is in Manchester, the finest city in England) is very nice. I worked there during the Commonwealth Games, and it was impressive then, it's probably moreso now, after the final stand was built and the pitch lowered.

I think the San Nicola, where Bari play looks pretty good, though I've never been there. The Stadio Delle Alpi is a blot on the landscape.

There are a Hell of a lot of ugly stadiums in England. Just look at almost any of the sheds in the Nationwide League.

The first one is the Rose Bowl, home of the 1994 WC. Old and Beautiful stadium and always a joy to watch the Rose Bowl after New Years every year. The second stadium was the home to the Tampa Bay Mutiny before MLS contracted it and since then, I could care less about M.L.S. But that Stadium is home to the defending NFL Champions, The Tampa Bay Bucanneers.

Thats just too OTT for me... like the shape of the ground though, kinda artistic.

Remeber, the team is named after Pirates, and our history in our city is full of Pirates, such as Jose Gaspar. Believe me, when you see it, it's a wonderful sight. There is a talking robotic parrot on the ship that can be heard as well.

The stadium is great as well. You can see the whole field from any seat, and to add more for it's competitveness, the visitor's team bench is located at an angle, where if it is a day game, the sun will shine all day on them, while the hometown team gets the shade all day. Home Field Advantage;).

LOL. sorry but The Orange Bowl is a real name for a stadium for the University of Miami, my arch enemies along with the Univeristy of Florida.

By the way, Holland played in Orlando at the CITRUS BOWL, lol,(talk about home field advantage with that name) aye aye aye, I was in Lebanon at the time. If only I was in Florida back then, an hour drive to see Bergkamp and the dutch play.

Belgium : Morocco 1:0 (1:0) Citrus Bowl
Orlando Belgium : Netherlands 1:0 (0:0) Citrus Bowl
Orlando Morocco : Netherlands 1:2 (0:1) Citrus Bowl
Netherlands : Rep. of Ireland 2:0 (2:0) Citrus Bowl.

Miami Orange Bowl stadium and Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando underneath it.

In Holland, I think the Parkstad Limburg Stadium (Roda JC Kerkrade) is the best.

In England... Plough Lane, but now that stadium is gone no doubt it's Kingsmeadow.
No... I'm not biased. ;)
Yes it's a nice stadium, I can imagine why you don't say the Kuip but even then I prefer the Galgewaard. :clap ( not only because of the ambiance ) [/b][/quote]
My uncle is one of the architects of this ground ;)

Millenium stadium on every count for me.

as for astmosphere it depends who's playing, when we played Norwich in the play off final the noise was deafening!, does help when they close the roof as well.

What the Hell?!? That's a flying saucer not a football stadium. A few of those in Japan were pretty impressive, though.

Still think the San Nicola's a good one. Not got a pic.

In Brazil I love the classic stadiums:

Maracana Stadium, site of the 1950 WC final

Morumbi Stadium, home of Sao Paulo
http://www.soccerfuturo.com/images/morumbi.jpg

But both are not very modern.. Arena da Baixada is the most modern in Brazil

We're pathetic, we don't have good stadiums to begin with here in Singapore, considering we're 95th in the world (we lower than Angola, mind you). Still, the National Stadium is the only stadium resemblant on a low-class stadium, so it'll have to do. 60,000 capacity

In Italy it has to be the San Siro
