Have any of your superstar players ever scored from an overhead kick?
I have been playing all versions for many years, and I'm still to see the ball hit the back of the net after an OH has been attempted..
It's one of those little, meaningless things in the game that really annoys me..
Do I need to get a life? Hmm, its possible..

Yeah, most people dont give it a thought.
I guess its the way my strange mind works :eek
Its constantly annoyed me for years and even with the best strikers, I still doesn't go in...
If anyone has got proof of this I'd love to see it. It'll put my mind to rest; then I can sleep easy :wink
Or....maybe I should just forget about it cause its taking over my life..ARRGHHH!!! :confused :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen a scissor kick mentioned before, but I don't think it was a goal... then again I may be wrong, I haven't really looked out for it, usually I put commentary speed on fast

OK, I've come to a conclusion.
Most people have no idea about the overhead kick or indeed how their players score goals because they have the speed on very fast.
I play it on fast, which allows me to still see how the goals are scored without it being too slow..
I've come to another conclusion. Nobody really gives a rats ass either :)

Overhead kicks happen every game I play nobody has scored from one yet, also I noticed in the new version that there a lot of indirect free kicks being given especially for bodychecking

dave beckham has scored in my game
Amazing, you must be the only one its happened too!! :eek
Still, I wait for the day...
It's probably down to the fact that my players just aren't good enough. You need the likes of Beckham, Bergkamp or Zola who could pull off something like this...
im so proud that i can have a player score an overheqad kick, but i still cant get man utd to beat liverpool!!!!

While managing Rushden & Diamonds I signed Leo Fortune-west. He scored from an overhead...But it got disallowed for an offside.

I usually find that if you get alot of overhead kicks the wingers or whoever is playing the ball behind the striker or the striker is set too far forward and you maybe also get caught offside alot too. Just my two peneth worth

Yeah, I think it has a lot to do with the formation that you play.
I usually play a diamond 4-4-2, but obviously this aint working...
I'll try a more attacking 4-2-4 maybe...
hmm, this is strange
nearly every 4 games that i play somebody scores with an overhead kick, either from the other team or one of my players

With me they always go horribly wide, its the same with freekicks as the always hit the wall.

I don't really read the commentary that much to be honest, I'm too impatient.
