Anyone know where the name kaiserslautern comes from or what it translates into English?

Great Question...I have no idea since i don't know German but I would also like to know what it means in english...

well i know "kaiser" is emperor or ruler
slautern.. dunno i'll see if i can find out... but i do know that it is a city in germany

This is what I found on britannica. com.
city, Rhineland-Palatinate Land (state), southwestern Germany. It lies between the Haardt Mountains (Pfälzer Wald) and the Saar-Nahe-Bergland (Nordpfälzer Bergland) and is surrounded by the Pfälzer Wald nature preserve. A royal residence existed there in the Carolingian period (after 751). The place-name is derived from Lauter (a local stream) and from the emperor (kaiser) Frederick…
