I don't know. I know we are not as strong on the road, but the season is coming down to it and this is for fourth. I think 'Arry will have the lads ready to play, and I think we are capable of winning it. If someone put a gun to my head and said "you better choose right" I would probably say City will win it. But we have full capability of doing them here, and I'll certainly be hoping that we pull it off.

I fancy a draw myself but whether it's us or you that miss out ,one thing shouldn't be forgotten, both clubs should be proud of the way it's gone this season .
I obviously hope we win but if we don't then i hope you all enjoy the CL next season

Spot on with everything there.

I have never been so nervous and yes, that includes the likes of pre match nerves against the scum Arsenal and Chelsea! The game has got so much build up to it now and thats not helping the nerves either. Sweating over the fitness of Gomes too.

Are u going Bluemoon?

I can see Lennon starting on wednesday so I'm expecting the midfield to be

Lennon - Huddlestone - Modric - Bale

Fredo
May 2 2010, 03:33 PM
Maybe too much to say biggest game in your history but it must be high up on the list. This is the playoff for 4th.

And i think id prefer you to get 4th than City cos if City wins it, theyll be able to go and buy the league cos players will want to sign for them now with money and CL on offer.
You wouldnt have that appeal even with CL football on offer and would probably go out in the qualifiers anyway :D

Still, feel dirty saying that...

I was hoping too but by the time i found i could get time off work i saw it was a sell out.
Had a phone call off a friend of mine who lives in Gloucester and he might not be able to go as his Wife is ill, he said he'll let me know tomorrow if i can use his ST.
if i don't get to go up then i'm gonna take the kids out for the night and find out the score when i get home........don't think i could handle following it on tv or the web :ninja

Harry Redknapp is waiting on the fitness of Heurelho Gomes and Ledley King ahead of Wednesday night's (May 5) crunch match at City.

The big question is whether or not Ledley's troublesome knee will settle down in time to play two matches in the space of five days after another fine display against Bolton on Saturday.

"It's a case of waiting to see how he is and how he recovers from the weekend," said Harry before training on Tuesday.

"He will come out today and have a loosener with us and then we'll make a decision.

"I'll leave it to Ledley. If he feels he's fit and he's up for playing, he'll tell me. If he's not quite right, he'll tell me. He knows his body and how his knee is feeling and he will let me know."

Goalkeeper Gomes picked up a groin injury in the final minutes of Saturday's 1-0 win against Bolton.

"Again, we'll see how he is today," said Harry. "He didn't train yesterday (Monday) and he won't do too much today.

"He's been top drawer, a fantastic goalkeeper but if he's not fit Ben Alnwick will play and Jimmy Walker will be on the bench.

"We hope he's fit because he's important to us. I'm hopeful."

Vedran Corluka (ankle) is still out alongside long-term absentees Niko Kranjcar (ankle), Jonathan Woodgate (groin) and Carlo Cudicini (wrist, pelvis).

Tough game, not much of beauty, but some nice chances on both sides. Not typical EPL game I have usualy watched, more like CL 4final game which is reasonable consdering the importance of the game... Think Spurs should do a bit better in the 2nd half. I expect more from wingers and central midfielders, a bit more possesion of the ball...

About the game itself in terms of performance for the teams.

I thought we dominated most of the game, however City were creating half chances but never really tested to the level you would expect from two teams so close in the league. I thought the goal was never going to come and we would witness a 0-0 draw, clearly that wasnt to be.

Dawson and King, just outstanding AGAIN. I wish King wasnt so ****ed. Bale once again showed class. Defoe probably put in one of his better performances. Modric was kept out of the game, unfortunately. Gomes solid again bar one scary moment!

Atmosphere, electric.

May 6 2010, 05:21 PM
I must admit, one we hit the 70 minute mark it looked like City started to run out of steam - I was actually surprised that City didn't really come at us after the went 1-0 down.
Gomes was outstanding as was King and Dawson - who both deserve a World Cup spot this summer.

Tottenham star Ledley King has to be helped from nightclub after celebrating Champions League place with team-mates
By Georgina Littlejohn
Last updated at 11:13 AM on 7th May 2010
Comments (2) Add to My Stories
Having reached the Champions League for the very first time, you can't blame the Tottenham Hotspur players for wanting to celebrate.
And true to form, Ledley King led by example - but not on the pitch, where his bravery helped his club to their highest league position in the history of the Premiership.
The 29-year-old, whose cannot even train because his knees are in such a terrible state, had to be helped from the club after one too many glasses of pop.

Show me the way to go home: Tottenham defender Ledley King is helped out of Maya nightclub after celebrating the team reaching the Champions League

King was joined at the Maya London nightclub on Tottenham Court Road by team mates Peter Crouch, Tom Huddlestone and David Bentley, who also appeared to have fully enjoyed the celebrations.

The boys were hit the town after securing a famous victory at Manchester City, which guaranteed fourth place in the Premiership and a shot at European glory next year.
In doing so, King, Crouch and Huddlestone have all given themselves a chance of making the England squad for the World Cup which is named next Tuesay.

Taxi for Mr King! A bouncer helps the Spurs player out of the club, on to the street and into a cab
However, their club boss, Harry Redknapp, will view their adventures dimly. He is known to take a hard line on night-time offenders - he loaned Robbie Keane to Celtic after he organised Christmas party drinks in Dublin against his wishes and famously tore a strip off of Crouch in October after he was seen partying wildly after a win.
Redknapp said at the time: 'I'll implement a strong rule next season that drinking is a no-no here. Footballers should not drink. You shouldn't put diesel in a Ferrari.

At least the night ended uneventfully for King, who has got himself into a couple of sticky situations in nightclubs over the last couple of years.
Squiffy: A worse for wear David Bentley leaves the club with his shirt buttons undone
In May last year, King was arrested outside the Punk club in Soho, Central London, after returning to the capital from Tottenham's 0-0 draw at Everton.
He was detained after an alleged racist attack on bouncer Wahib Butt, who King is said to have called a 'Paki' after he was refused entry to a nightclub because staff said he was too drunk to stand.
He was bailed and charges were later dropped.

Party boys: Striker Peter Crouch and midfielder Tom Huddlestone

That happened a year after he was thrown out of the Funky Buddha nightclub after becoming embroiled in a row with a fellow clubber in April 2008.
So unless he gave permission for his players to let their hair down - highly unlikely with the last match away to Burnley on Sunday giving them a chance of overhauling deadly rivals Arsenal in third position - it's hard to see Redknapp being too impressed with these shots.

So fatigue and fuzzy heads will not impress the man who rescued the club from the brink of relegation when he joined as manager in 2008.
