after the disappointing result in CL it is time to go back and defend the liga in this important match , like puyol said winning this match means that we almost won the liga since the other strong match which is seville match would be easier since seville will be focused on copa del rey final.
the most important things is that hopefuly the players moved their thinking from inter match and focus on saturdays match , the good news is that villareal is an attacking team which should leave spaces for messi who should give his best in this match along with pedro , it is nice to have puyol rested and pique in top form. , the expected formation :
alves puyol pique max
xavi yaya kieta
messi ibra pedro
forza barca :clap

I think Abidal will play, he's served his time already, for God's sake this season he spent more time injured him and Iniesta.
I'm sure the players will give it everything, I just feel that they know they can't afford to lose and they will go out to finish the game from early on...

I'm sure they still have a bitter taste from Wednesday's game, but this should only be a great motivation to go out and win, and I'm not worried, it's like they played bad against Inter in Midweek, it just wasn't meant to be, so the form is there and I'm sure they can do it...

Fear Peps Henry hate could cost you the league aswell as the Champions league this season . The few games I've watched of late have been crying out for Henry to come on and add his worth . Ibra adds nothing to your attack he doesn't get in behind the defence which is something the role he plays requires . Pedro should be playing a role from the bench not first choice he isnt ready yet .
Barcelinha
May 1 2010, 03:42 PM
you're simply wrong here. Henry's been subbed in a few times and did nothing. it shows he's past it.
whilst Don Pedro's scored a host of goals, more than Ibra now, i'm sure.

No Im not .
Henry has had a few bad games but he still has alot of class . Maybe Pep has been using him wrong but he isnt finished yet . In fact I would of fancied your chances more on Wednesday with him on the field .
As for Pedro Im not saying he is a bad player Im saying he is a great young player who can improve with rotation . At the moment there is to much pressure to early for a young talent . The goal during the game you attended showed he has ability in the bucket loads .

Pedro has impressed me this season. I think he really is ready to get the time he's been getting. Are there better players? Sure. But he's another home grown talent that is cheap and has the drive to win.
Henry...don't know why Pep hates him as his last couple appearances were pretty positive. He's pretty much done with top flight play but should certainly be used more on this team in lieu of lesser players. Ahem...jeffren

Very smooth and fluent play tonight, very entertaining. Bojan's goal was the highlight of the match for me and the passage of play that lead to Messi's 2nd was also impressive. Gotta love (actually I kinda don't) the Busquets nonsense yet again. He's a bit of a clown and I wish he would just play.

first of all i hope busquets is suspended since he is too stupid , first when the villareal player was injured instead of shoot the ball outside the play he run with it , they take it and do a counter attack which lead to the goal and then that incedent , he know he got a yellow card and do that , WTF ? in every match he is doing something stupid.
back to the match , barca played great , they reminded us of last season , pep listened it seems to fans who wanted bojan to start instead of ibra and he did great great movement and a great goal , this shows that bojan should stay with barca for years to come. xavi was in great form scoring from a FK and creating 2 goals for messi and bojan.
edit : i read now that the ref gave the card not to busqets but to lorente who wanted sergio to go out qiuckly.

I hope Busquets gets suspended for life. He's just become a big joke to the club.

everyone is overreacting. i can't remember half the gripe when Messi used to roll around, honestly.
yes, the rolling around was a bit too much and he was obviously doing it with a purpose. but the foul was there and the yellow was deserved. end of!
instead of taking Busquets to Camp Nou and executing him for crimes against fair play, let's just try to get over the event and move the fvck on.

It's funny how you say that Linha when all you cared about until recently was writing off Pedro and Henry ofc

The problem for me is this is not an isolated incident with Busquets. He's always made a meal of being fouled but I feel like this year he's ratcheted up the play acting to the level of Alves and beyond. And really it won't stop unless the fans get on the players.
busquets is a very good player, as ive said a million other times. pep needs to slap him around a little bit to get him to stop overacting and just being a little sh!t. but honestly, it probably wont stop until refs stop buying it. because they buy it all the time from sergio.

seriously though, fair point. Id also like to point out that messi doesnt have a history of 'rolling about'. Busquets does this regularly and with minimal contact at the best of times, its embarrassing for the team

With a couple of lessons from Dani, Busi could become a pro though... :laugh
No seriously, I think he also uses the fact that's he's so damn skinny and probably does fall from little knocks so they're not all acts. I think Pep needs to have a chat with him :nod

Puyol should take him into the gym and build him up a little bit
it has nothing to do with his size. acting has nothing to do with size. id agree if he fell and got back up, or winced for a second or 2. but he rolls all over the place, holds the wrong part of his leg from where he was hit, holds his face when he was hit anywhere near the head...its all an act. nothing to do with his stature, has to do with his style.

I think he uses his stature to pull off these emmy winning acts :ninja
He might not fall down easily but looks like he would... I'm not sure if this makes any sense LoL
hmm. i guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

him and alves need to cut it out anyway. its cheating and you dont want them tarring the team with that.
Seriously though, sometimes when he rolls around i wish i could punch him in the feckin neck :D

But yh ofc they need to cut it out but so do many other players in la Liga and in other leagues. It's an issue that should be dealt with in football generally

thats true. But you always want your team to be above that sort of thing.
It still makes me laugh that after the CL semi all the talk was about busquets when he cheated once, and the likes of Lucio cheated several times throughout the game
this stuff will happen until refs cut it out of the game. they buy busquet's tactics all the time.

That cheeky little glance so reminded of Rivaldo in that WC match against Turkey where he 'convinced' the ref into a sending off.
He'll probaby will never get another major decision in his life, lol
one of the low points in any game ive seen. absolute garbage from a barcelona legend.

Diving and play acting will never end because the game is too fast for the refs to always get the calls right. So, to me it seems its up to the supporters and the media to call out the offenders until they change. The fact is embellishing works on the field and rarely is punished. So the punishment must come from elsewhere.

because i was bashing them based on form - or lack thereof - in Titi's case and out of pure clouded judgment - in Pedro's case.
nowt to do with certain incidents blown out of proportion :holy247
