Well last night I watched the Rangers play as bad as Ive ever seen them, in fact it was one of the worst team performances in a long long time :nono
Things had started so well with Rangers pressing the Danes for 10 mins and making the break-through on 12 mins, Lovenkrands scoring from the 6 yard box following a corner. Then it all went pear-shaped....
Rangers failed to press the advantage and Copenhagen came back into the gaem, eventually taking control and bossing Rangers for about 60 mins. They scored the important away goal but it couldhave been 3 or 4 to be honest, so in that respect Rangers got lucky - the tie isnt totally dead yet.
Copenhagen certainly seemed much fitter than Rangers (Danish season has been going for a while by now) and their retained control without much effort, Rangers on the other hand huffed & puffed heavily to no great effect.
Most worrying was the total lack of interest by Ronald De Boer who just stood around not looking to get involved (he was subbed 2nd half) and other players like Mols, Lovenkrands & Ferguson not making the effort to chase loose balls or close down opposition players.
Rangers will need nothing short of a football miracle if they are to turn this around and the rest of the season isnt looking much more promising on this display
I read on the back page of The Sun "Big Eck hits the roof", I think I rather he hit the players....
