I have to agree with that. Pires is head & shoulders above anyone else in the assists ratings, and his goal today at Villa was brilliant.

Itīs like in Real: Figo is da man even if he doesnīt score as many goals as Raul/Morientes. Pires is close to Figo in excellence.

Ruud is ok too, but itīs not only the goals that count.

Itīs like in Real: Figo is da man even if he doesnīt score as many goals as Raul/Morientes. Pires is close to Figo in excellence.

Ruud is ok too, but itīs not only the goals that count.


I voted for pires because he has been fantastic this season. he tracks back as well which a lot of the continental flair players dont do.
JERE figo is twice as good as the pires it hurts. he doesnt score as many golas because the spanish league is harder.

It may be strange but what about Hyypia? He is consistently good. Could he be the first defender to be nominated. After all without a decent defence, then you wont win much

Fancy Jimlad going for Hyypia? There's a surprise. I agree that he's been great again this season, but he's not gonna get a sniff because attacking players win virtually all of the time. I'm sticking with Pires.

Ok, but surely the player should play the whole season. has he is out for the whole season so does this make a difference. not in my view is doesnt at all.

You'd have to say Van Nistelrooy- he single handedly got Man U out of their slump and back into not only contention for the premiership but also favourites, though maybe not after the game against boro!! he's also clearly the signing of the year.

Too right Manic it is a pity he was starting to fire on all cylinders that is why i think Arsenal are left with a massive hole and out of all the quality players Arsenal have i think they will only half be able to cover it!!!!
