Bromley vs Lashings

I always get to this game, Lashings have what is probably the best team in the world and they play in a district league!!!

Bromleys ground is just grass banks and its free, crammed with a few thousand people.

Regular, the bloke who owns Lashings has big money and so can afford them.

Although i'm pretty sure some of them have other clubs (Phil Tuffnell)

It is very strange a pub team coming to my town and playing in a small field with thousands of people watching :D

Regular as in on a weekly basis??? Cos i am pretty sure most of those guys are doing other things, and are not even in the country half the time

Tuffers was released by middlesex i think for the Celebrity thing, i am not sure he is contracted to them anymore

Not weekly, i think Richie Richardson plays weekly for them, as does Henri Olonga (in exile after the whole protest thing at the world cup)

I don't know how often the teams play to be honest, i think its about every fortnight, as i know of about 8 teams in the district and i'm sure there's more.

Anyway, the game is next wednesday, i'l let you know what happens.

Also, anyone see Derbyshire vs Gloucestershire yesterday? Cracking match that was.

I will be there. Should be 30+degrees on Wednesday, so perfect for watching cricket. Not far from me. I think it's kind of an annual thing. I know they played last year, but I was on holidays.

It was boring last year but the year before was quality, best match i'd seen in ages.

Lashings won by 75 runs I think. Not as good as I hoped it would be. Not such a good attendance considering the people playing. Ah well, at least it's killed a day. :P
