It all depends on whether he's going to pull a strop as per usual or whether he's grown up a bit more and he's learn how to behave on and off the pitch.

its only a loan so its not high risk really for them, dont know whether it wil make or break them, they sstill have other good strikers

yeh I can see what you're saying, but with Anelka you have gotta be prepared to take the baggage which comes with him as well...

After his poor performance on Sunday, I think he needs a while to get used to the Premiership again.

When he was with us, he had so much potential, it was frightening, but his brother's pulled his strings and he was led astray. If they're out of the picture, then he could make it.

thats true, but he didnt exactly seem devastated to leave, no doubt enjoying the extra money! :)

He later admitted, as did Petit, that he was wrong to leave Highbury.

What have Anelka and Petit got in common once they left Highbury - Both their careers went down the pan - nuff said :laugh

Some body made the point about Anelka only being on loan. Its a win, win situation for us. If he messes around he goes back. Ive heard that we've already signed him anyway. I cant wait for the signing that will shock the footballing world!!, lets hope its kluivert!!

Heskey to M'boro?

I don't see how Liverpool can regret it when its just a loan, but I don't think the championship is in the bag. So I haven't voted.

On loan Anelka is a good deal.
At the moment he doesn´t get to play - which is ok, because in form he´s lethal!!!

I could pay up to 9M£ for Anelka. He has so much potential - and has also shown he can score in the premier.

Petit: I was choked when Chelsea got him and cursed Wenger (cause Wenger didn´t get Petit back to Arse).. but now I see Petit is injury prone, suspension liability and off form.. Wenger knew this. I didn´t. I´m just happy with RAY&GIO.. Griman (NOOOOO!)

Big Kev has a point: nobody should leave Arsenal (Overmars, Petit, Anelka..Winterburn :) ) because it´s a huge risk to their careers!!

At least they dont have to sit out games due to suspensions which they have to at Highbury :)

On his day, Anelka is a better all around striker than even Owen. The Scouse management is stuck on Heskey as is Sven, and I don't CARE how hard he works, he's pants. People have forgotten Anelka's prowess his Champions League goals, his virtual hat-trick at Wembley for France (third goal crossed the line, but the ref didn't see). I don't like the guy particularly, but settle him in, get him on form, he's as good as any striker in the world and sorely wasted on the bench.

would cost 15 mill not bad replacement if owen or heskey get injured. wont be signed in summer. kluivert is coming

I hope Pool will not get Kluivet. Kluivert is dangerous.
Patrick is a unstoppable goal machine and never injured.
I´d rather see Arse snap Kluivert.

Barca knows Kluiverts value, I doubt they will let him go.

Anelka 15M£? Huh!? I say 8-10M£ would be appropriate.

I agree with smiffy: Anelka has the tools to be better than Owen/Heskey.
But Nico is also a mental case.

thats whta liverpool have been quoted. kluivert and owen would be useful. whta about baros though. apparently the rumour up here is that he has asked to go back home because he is not playing football.

<span style='font-size:10'>I don't think the Premiership is in the bag, but i don't think it was a bad move to loan Anelka. We all know he is abit of a prick on and off the field. But if he starts pissing about he goes, simply as that - Liverpool have made that clear, but if he plays like we know he can. He will surely do the club a power of good. To me thats a good move by Liverpool and i hope he does find his form. :)

Ha, the comelian makes me laugh. Jere Markus changes his team every week. Ajax, Arsenal, Real, who's next. Kluivert won't be going to Arsenal as they said it would brea their wage structure. That was last summer when they tried to sign him. Anyway you've got enough players at arsenal its just that they're alsways suspended! Anelka looks to be back in touch, he would have scored at Ipswich but it was a great save from the keeper. His power in the turn is fenominal. Still a class act. Baros has asked to go home because he isnt gettin first team football. He will next year when both Henchoz and Smicer get EU qualification. Both he and biscan are in the same boat, cant get a game becaus of the three non EU maximum in the squad.

if anelka can regain his form he'd defn be a better value purchase for ya than kluivert...
