Stoitchkov stuurt 'Real-fan' van Barça-training

30/7/2003* 11:00

'Go home', brieste de Bulgaarse vedette.

A short translation in English;

on Tuesday, Hristo Stoichkov was present at Barca's training in Washington. He was there cause he plays for DC United at the moment. He was watching Barca's training quietly, until he suddenly saw a Panamese boy watching too... in a Real Madrid shirt.. Stoichkov walked to him and said "Go home". The boy was surprised, but apparently so impressed that he took his shirt of and left the training pitch.

Everybody was surprised. Friends of the boy assured that he wasn't there to provoke. In fact, he was planning on asking the signature of all Barca players at the end. Apparently the Americans didn't know anything about the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Stoichkov couldn't understand how people couldn't know this."How could you come to a training of Barca, with a shirt like that. What a disgrace!" he said.

On the one side.. I feel sad for the boy.. but on the other side.. :laugh :laugh :laugh

lucky he has sent him away.
That would be a very stupid thing. what must the player be thinking if he sees the child with a real madrid shirt asking him for a signature.

if u wear a real shirt you must know you don't need to go to barca players.
last year i visited nou camp and i saw in front of the stadium people sitting with shirts of real madrid and spain shirts with raul on it. That's asking for trouble

I don't like that attitude from players. They're pro and their duty goes beyond the pitch.

No need to be rude with a kid, how tough Hristo is. First he injured another kid, and then this. I loved him as a player, don't get me wrong there.

US is quite ill-informed about soccer. Cut the kid some slack. Probably gave him a bad impression of the players already......

OK, but still, thats like saying I like Barca, but i love Madrids t-shirt. What he should do is next;
-take his t-shirt and set on a fire
-give hima fresh barca shirt with Barca sigantures
-than he would say to the kid; thats what Barcelona is against Real madrid: gold vs. horse s***,...

While writing these, i started to cry, i dont know why, mybe because I)m infornt of computer already 2 hours or is it just the incident :crying

Not so long ago, I walked trough downtown Barcelona.
A guy, about 18 yo. walking around in hir real shirt.
An old man walked by, spitting the boy in the face. :laugh
Not even 5 meter farther, 5 little boys, about 7 yo. attacked the guy.
That was cool. :P
