Victor Valdés --- 8

What can be says about this GK??? When the haters start the shitstorm, he ALWAYS become stronger. To me, the best GK in FCB history.

José Manuel Pinto --- 7

Nice work by Pinto. He proved to be a solid backup GK.

Martín Cáceres --- 5

Not to many minutes. Not good, not bad. He has skills, but nowadays is the last one on the defense options.

Gerard Piqué --- 8

Rookie of the year. What an impressive season by Gerard. He's a legit starter right now.

Rafa Márquez --- 7

He became a solid defender again, after two bad seasons. His pass skills are an important asset in the team.

Carles Puyol --- 7

He played in every defense role. He's not the unbeatable defender he was some time ago, but still a top world player.

Sylvinho --- 6

Really few minutes, but he did ok in the last important games of the season. this has to be the last season with us... we need new blood in the fullback.

Dani Alves --- 9

No words can describe this kind of player... he's an hurricane and owns his side every single game. Never gets tired, always with such intensity... good on defense and the rival's nightmare on attack... i love this guy.

Éric Abidal --- 6

He had a better performance than last season. Still, i'm not sure if he has to be our starter fullback.

Víctor Sánchez --- 5

No timeplay enough to show his value.

Yaya Touré --- 8

Guardiola wasn't so sure about Touré, but the guy show him how good player he is. One of the best transfers of the last years. Bravo Txiki.

Xavi --- 10

man, i never was a huge fan of Xavi (too soft in the past) but.... i have to admit he's the ******* landlord of the field. He showed he really can be the leader of the team. His best season ever.

Seydou Keita --- 6

He started with no confidence, but he had a good progress and very effective adaptation in the team. He does the silent job, and he does ok.

Sergio Busquets --- 8

He played like a veteran. Hes' great on defense, great on the short pass, take an incredible number of faults and yellow cards to the rival... an amazing player, with 0 cost.

Andrés Iniesta --- 9

he's the pure talent. When he's in good shape, he becomes a dream come true. The perfect complement to Xavi and Messi.

Eidur Gudjohnsen --- 5

He had a good start, but finished really tired and out of shape. Time to move to another land, viking.

Aliaksandr Hleb --- 2

He has the talent, he has the dribble, he has the speed and skills... but he showed nothing to us. Hard to explain, Hleb's performance. In a normal club, he could have another shot next season...but man, this is FC Barcelona.

Samuel Eto'o --- 9

He's a goal machine and a great tactical player. Simply has that... The problem: His ego and his big mouth. Now it's the right time to sell him, grab some cash and move to another striker. I want Benzema.

Lionel Messi --- 10

He's god,... and only 21!!! The key factor, the difference bettwen a great team and a champion team. What else can be say about Leo? Maybe our greatest all-time player,... and more to come!

Thierry Henry --- 8

He doesn't have the youth speed, but he still have enought to rape Real Madrid and Valencia. He's class, and he always be.

Bojan Krkić --- 6

Few chances, but great performance in the spanish cup. He's only 18 (!) and he will be a world star.

Pedro --- 6

I like this player. he has an incredible dribbling and he's really fast. He can be really useful in the future.

Victor Valdés --- 7.5

Aside from a few shockers, he's been really good this season.

José Manuel Pinto --- 6

Showed up well when he was needed.

Martín Cáceres --- 6

Still young and developing. Give him more minutes and I'm sure he'll improve.

Gerard Piqué --- 8

Most improved player in this season. Excellent.

Rafa Márquez --- 6.5

Still a little suspect at the back IMO. But better from the past couple of seasons.

Carles Puyol --- 8

He's been excellent this season, having to play in different positions, and having a different defensive set up next to him most of the time. Captain fantastic.

Sylvinho --- 7

He has been good when needed.

Dani Alves --- 7.5

Really good first season. I wouldn't say we've seen the best of him just yet.

Éric Abidal --- 7

Has been solid this season. No real complaints.

Víctor Sánchez --- 4

Don't think he has much of a future at Barca TBH.

Yaya Touré --- 8

Not great at CB, but a fantastic season for him. a couple of brilliant goals he scored as well.

Xavi --- 10

He should win WPOTY IMO. He is Barca's style.

Seydou Keita --- 6.5

Decent job when needed.

Sergio Busquets --- 7.5

Sometimes can show his inexperience. But a really good season. Solid.

Andrés Iniesta --- 9.5

As they say, a coach's dream player. Put him anywhere and he'll give you a performance.

Eidur Gudjohnsen --- 4

Poor show. Don't see how he can be much use to us.

Aliaksandr Hleb --- 5

Not convincing. I doubt that we should wait for him to get to his best. I don't see him doing so at least at this club.

Samuel Eto'o --- 7.5

He had a great supporting cast. But he took his opportunity when we needed it most. Still unsure about him staying, but I have to admit that he has had a pretty good season and has been an important player for us.

Lionel Messi --- 9.5

Excellent season. Hasn't been as brilliant as he can be in all games. The good thing is that he can only get better.

Thierry Henry --- 7.5

Showed his worth in this season. Still think his finishing and delivery can be much better.

Bojan Krkić --- 7

Don't think we should send him out on loan. I'm sure he'll be much better next season. Some good performances by him.

Pedro --- 7

When he was given his opportunity, he was good. Still lacks the delivery, but that will come.

Victor Valdés --- 8

Vic bashers are brainless... he's been lovely this season and no replacements necessary. Period.

José Manuel Pinto --- 7

Didn't play too much but what he did do was great. pen save in CDR was fantastico, if given more chances he'll prove to be a class keeper. No backup GK signings necessary either.

Martín Cáceres --- 6

As of yet, hasn't shown that he's Barca material. Hasn't played too much though, so give him a chance. Don't think loaning him out would do much good.

Gerard Piqué --- 9

Started out rough, then proved to be AMAZING, and him so young! What can I say, he's consistently strong as a player, great personality off pitch, he's nuts about Barca and forgive me, guys on the forum, but he's just hot as well! He lacks nothing. One point off for the rough start, but apart from that, first season for him couldn't have been more perfect.

Rafa Márquez --- 8

He's solid, done better this season than before, but was unfortunate when it came to injuries. That one freekick he scored in the Copa was lovely. I want him to take more.

Carles Puyol --- 8

He's passionate, strong, a leader... he's our Captain! Not always consistent, but brings it all out for the big matches.

Sylvinho --- 7

Considering his age, great this season, what he played of it at least. Any mistake she did, made up for them in CL final. He was incredible.

Dani Alves --- 8

Like Pique, incredible first season, class fullback, he's just awesome. I adore him as a player, great personality too. Has had a couple bad games tho, but then all players do, what gets me is how he was in the 2nd leg vs Chelsea.

Éric Abidal --- 8

REALLY stepped it up from last season. He's proven to be a depandable fullback.

Víctor Sánchez --- 6

Didn't play much, never did anything special, never screwed up either. Needs more minutes.

Yaya Touré --- 8

Ah, he's a rock. Totally strong, he's awesome. Can't ever forget that goal he scored when he snaked past all those defenders, not quite sure which match it was...

Xavi --- 9

He's been just amazing, awesome player, a leader like Puyol, what is the midfield without him? He has some off matches sometimes tho. But he's entitled to them.

Seydou Keita --- 7

Sometimes I love him, sometimes I hate him. Has goofed up a couple times, then again has had some decisive moments. Still unsure about him...

Sergio Busquets --- 7

I guess... like Keita. He provides more stabilty tho. But he MUST cut down on the bookings.

Andrés Iniesta --- 9

Ah, I never though he could be this amazing. He's had an exceptional season, fuh-get-a-bout-it. Injuries were just too bad.

Eidur Gudjohnsen --- 6

I think he had a great moment or two this season... but that's it. Got kinda bitchy later on too.

Aliaksandr Hleb --- 4

Worst flop of a signing. Offered nothing to the club. Might do better elsewhere... not Barca material tho.

Samuel Eto'o --- 8

Fantastic player, but has an ego and all, maybe that wouldn't bother me if it didn't get in the way of his playing sometimes. If you're consistently great, mouth off as much as you like. The last three liga matches existed for the sole purpose of Samu scoring for the pichichi... he didn't step up. Just talked about it. That's annoying.

Lionel Messi --- 9

Best season ever for him... he's the best player in the world because of it. Wasn't always as good as he coulda been, but has had some simply incredible moments. It's been an incredible season... hell, he's even scoring headers! He can do anything, Messi can. I think he needs to be a lilttle less selfish on the ball sometimes tho.

Thierry Henry --- 8

He's turned out to be great for Barca. Fits in great with the team and the playing style... was a bit doubtful at the beginning of the season but quickly straightened it out.

Bojan Krkić --- 7

Didn't play much, but for his age, he's just awesome! He's had some really great matches, needs to gain experience to get better.

Pedro --- 7

He's been great in what little he played, I feel safe having him on for Messi if Messi's injured or something.

Valdes - 8
Looked shaky for a few moments there but in the end did excatly what he had to.

Pinto - 7
Came up big in the CDR and thats all you can ask for

Marquez - 7
Overall played pretty well but didn't see him passing as well this season. Injuries were unfortunate

Caceres - 5
Never really got going but I wouldn't give up on him yet. Too bad Pep never really showed any faith in him and so was probably never going to perform this season.

Pique - 8
What a great signing he turned out to be. Didn't look convicning at first but his passing has improved and his positioning and tackling make up for a lack of speed

Puyol - 8
Heart and soul. My favorite player. He reacts how a fan would react when the big goals are scored and I love that. Solid at any position he was put at

Keita - 7
Got better as the seaosn wore on and scored a couple powerful goals.

Yaya - 8
Remember when Pep didn't show him any love at all in the beginning of the season? We discussed how his time here might be done. Well I'm glad its not cause he's a beast and even scored a couple fabulous goals

Bojan - 6
Scored a number of goals but didn't really live up to the hype from last season. To his credit he didn't have many chances with the front 3 playing so well. Can be loaned out if unhappy but we would need a replacement.

Sylvinho - 7
Not asked to do much but was never a liability. CL final performance alone raises him to a 7 and earned him another year here if he wants.

Xavi - 9
What can you say, a fantastic season. Ran sh!t in the midfield and makes perfect decisions. He needs to play forever

Hleb - 4
Another one that never looked comfortable, just not up to par and has a free exit in my opinion.

Guddy - 5
Not asked to do much and didn't do much when asked

Abidal - 7
Did much better this season and didn't make too many mistakes. He's not the forward player we thought we were getting but thats not necessarily a bad thing with Dani running rampant on the right.

Alves - 8
Unbelievable for almost the entire year. Worked so well with Messi and delivers incredible crosses without getting caught up too far. His performance vs. Chelsea knocks him down from a 9 for me

Iniesta - 9
Emerged as one of the world's best, its just too bad he's had so many injuries. His quick 1-2 dribbling moves make me giggle like a school girl

Messi - 10
Not much to say rather than he's the world best. His goal to put away RM at the Camp Nou and the header in the CL Final are just a couple of the absolutely huge goals he's scored.

Eto'o - 9
Some people seem to think he should score every time the ball finds his feet but there is no more lethal scorer out there. His touch and passing could be better but I would be sad to see him go for anyone other than Villa

Henry - 9
Great comeback and so glad he won the CL. No talk of his unhappiness on the left this year? Settled in incredibly well and finished off the best front 3 in the world

Victor Valdés: 8

Annoying when he’s having his bad games but I’m sure Drenthe and Ronaldo were more annoyed with him.

Pinto: 8

He always did his job every time he was called upon.

Martín Cáceres: 5

I think he should be given another season to settle in.

Piqué: 8

I still get nervous when he runs with the ball but damn did he improve his passing or what? I dare say his defending is on par with Puyol’s.

Rafa Márquez: 7

Had some slip ups but I remember his good game more than his bad ones.

Puyol: 8.5

He defends on the left, he defends on the right, that warrior Puyol made Ronaldo look shyte …lol I couldn’t resist.

Sylvinho: 7

He played way above what was expected of him. Very good job.

Dani Alves: 9

His celebration after he scored against Sporting is my cell’s wallpaper. I love his passion, dedication and of course determination. Puyol on steroids.

Abidal: 7.5

Wasn’t great when going forward but his speed and strength make him an above average full back. I think he did well during the season. Even in Madrid, after he came back from long injury if I’m not mistaking, his defending was excellent.

Yaya Touré: 8

Did his job very well as the enforcer but as an added bonus he did alright at center back when needed.

Xavi: 10

He was just the perfect playmaker. I don’t know what else could have been expected of him this season.

Seydou Keita: 7

A good bench player to cover for Iniesta and as long as he’s happy with that he should stay around.

Sergio Busquets: 7.5

Pep believed in him…all for the right reasons.

Iniesta: 9

I’ve always said he’s the slow motion version of Messi. It is mind-blowing to see him do turns and slick moves. We all saw what happens when he doesn’t play…like long spells of bad results. His amazing goal vs. Chelsea will give him the exposure and recognition he fully deserves.

Sami Eto'o: 9

I can’t believe I’m one of the ungrateful bunches who want him sold. He had a great season just wish he kept the goals coming in. We’re so spoiled. I was going to give him an 8 but had to add one for his goal in Rome.

Lionel Messi: 10

Damn it Messi! Stop wasting chances…what’s that? 38 goals… Then stop being so selfish and greedy…oh 18 assists? Why are you so good?

Not sure if this will make sense but I believe the 08/09 Messi will be used as an example to judge other future player’s performance. But then again it’s more than possible for him to have a way better season. For all we know he might not even be at his peak yet.

Thierry Henry: 8.5

When he was signed my first comment was “let’s win the treble” and IBES’s reply to it was “lets not jinx it.” I’m soooo happy he got to win the CL, seeing him holding the trophy made my eyes teary. He scored some important goals and he adapted to his new position perfectly.

Bojan Krkić: 7

He used his limited playing opportunity pretty good and did well for his age. Hopefully he’ll bulk up a bit as he grows so he won’t get pushed around and bullied out of possession.

Eidur Gudjohnsen: 5

I’m not a big fan, every time he’s on the pitch all I see him do is lose possession.

Hleb: 4

Barcelona is not the place for him.

Pep: 10

Stop getting sent off the dug out!

Valdés - 8 for having a better season than last
Pinto -8 for the CDR
Márquez - 8 Didnt fvck up like last season
Cáceres - 5 Hardly played, but svcked when he did...i'm not sure giving him playing time is the answer. Loan him out.
Piqué - 9 Started of a bit shaky then got better and better.
Puyol - 9 Got caught by faster players but nonetheless a commanding performance.
Víctor Sánchez - 5 Hardly played but, like caceres, wasnt convincing when he did.
Sylvinho - 7 Age factor aside, love his attacking runs.
Abidal - 7 Unlucky with the cards, but improved over last year. Just wish he would attack and cross the ball instead of passing it back when he gets up there.
Alves - 9 With the exception of the Chelsea game, brilliant.
Muniesa - Hardly enough minutes to rate.
Keita - 7 Some good performances but I'm not sure if he fits this team.
Touré - 9 Brilliant DM and did an allright job playing CB as well.
Xavi - 10 The Maestro. Best Mid in the world. Amazing performance.
Iniesta - 9.5 Another guy who gets better and better, just wish he could build upon his finishing.
Hleb - (see Caceres) but sell him please
Gudjohnsen - another guy I want out, nothing to add to the team.
Sergio B. - 7.5 A good performance for his first year. A star for the future.
Xavi Torres - didnt leave an impression on me
Bojan - 7.5 Some good performances when he played, but I'd loan him out for a year.
Pedro - 7 Not easy filling Messi's shoes but showed some good skills when he played.
Messi - 10 What can I say? Now everyone knows why he IS the best.
Eto'o - 9 Had a dip in form towards the end but a key figure in Barca's trident.
Henry - 9 We all knew he is class and he showed it after the Pep (pun intended) talk.

Victor Valdés --- 8

Solid most of the season. Yeah, there were some blunders but then he had some great saves that eventually kept us in the game.

José Manuel Pinto --- 7

If the guy were any younger, he’d be a solid contender for number one spot. Some great saves in the last league games and the crucial penalty save in CDR.

Martín Cáceres --- 5

I think he lacks confidence, that’s why he always seems shaky when he plays. Maybe a loan spell would do him good, because I don’t see him getting any regular football next season either [and the lack of would only damage a talented player even further]

Gerard Piqué --- 8.5

What a season. From clumsy and oafish, to great displays in crucial matches. If anyone, he is the nice surprise of the year. And he’s only 22. And he breathes Barça. And he’s a picaron and all around funny cheerful guy in the lockeroom.

Rafa Márquez --- 7.5

Great passing for a defender and he’s become reliable in the back again, too bad about the injuries. He should take more free kicks.

Carles Puyol --- 8

He’s got heart if everything else fails, and he’s one of the few players where this actually helps. Redeemed himself from a rather nightmarish season last season with general solid displays. Captain Caveman :D

Sylvinho --- 7

He played whenever he was asked and most of the time did a pretty good job. Those old legs can still run and his passing vision is of a true Brazilian. He’s great for integrating the youth and seems to take on the Papa role very well. Top notch performance in the CL final. He should stay another year, just for experience, if nothing else. Would be a shame to lose him to Espanyol.

Dani Alves --- 9.5

Our best new signing. What a beast. Easily my fav player in most games, he owns his side effortlessly and if matches lasted 180 mins, he’s still have fuel for added time. Not so good at free kicks, but when he does score, his celebrations are a breathtaking sight ;) He’s had 2 or 3 games off, which is absolutely normal.

Éric Abidal --- 6.5

He’s turned around his performances of last season, but those red cards, as undeserved as they may be…make me really insecure about his starter role.

Víctor Sánchez --- 5

Hardly played and didn’t seem too bad, or anything special.

Yaya Touré --- 9

Excellent. A true rock at DM, owning his space greatly. Few get past him yeah! Some nice sly goals and a nice surprise at CB too. Ahaha.

Xavi --- 10

The puppet master and it shows especially when he’s having a bad match. Which is when we suck completely…lol. His vision is extraordinaire and his passing out of this world. A perfect playmaker and proof that size don’t matter ;)

Seydou Keita --- 7

I like the guy a lot. Very hard working, very quiet but does the job usually. Some cheeky goals and usually the decent sub. I’m glad we signed him, he’s a perfect bench player, doesn’t moan, plays what he’s asked and sometimes delivers unexpected goods.

Sergio Busquets --- 8

Great at the start of the season, had some off games, but he’s still so young, can’t really blame him. I’m surprised his matchsticks legs don’t break every other match with the fouls he receives. A future solid starter.

Andrés Iniesta --- 10

This is the year when the circle closed, and I could finally see how great this guy is. The vision, the passing – he must live in a time of his own, he always seems to have an extra couple of seconds to pick who to pass to – are top notch. His dribbling is not showy, but it is effective. Someone said you cannot take the ball from Iniesta unless you foul him, and I have come to believe it’s an absolute truth.
And the cracking goal vs. Chelsea, well, it wipes out all resentment I had for him since that penalty miss in December 2004. [it’s a long story]

Eidur Gudjohnsen --- 5.5

I think he’s not focusing enough when he does get to play. He’s been a lot better as a sub than as a starter.

Aliaksandr Hleb --- 2

Ah. Well, I’d like to give him a second chance, but I don’t think he fully deserves it. Even Titi in his first sucky year managed to show something [good bond with Bojan] and score some goals, while Hleb, although obviously very gifted, has not shown us anything. Not sure if he should stay.

Samuel Eto'o --- 9

I wanted him to stay and for the first half or so of the season, he proved my allegiance to him right. But then, of course, he had to go into his bad spell and affected the team with his rather individual [and bad] play. I don’t care about his mouthing and tantrums [less this season], as long as he delivers. Point is, there always comes a time during the season when he’s no longer doing it. It’s time to part with Samu. He’s not getting any younger and now is the time to cash in.

Lionel Messi --- 10

The year he finally shone. Call me a retard and a heathen, but I still think he was too selfish and dribbling too much [aka losing the ball] last year. But this year, he took his chances very well, he took on the inspirational ‘leader’ role very well and proved me wrong. Well done. I never doubted his talent, was just disappointed with his end product [the lack of] but now I think he’s finally matured into a real team player. And it showed. It’s amazing that usually this transformation happens around mid 20s but he’s managed it at barely 21. Best player in the world.

Thierry Henry --- 8

Ah. Another to prove me wrong…lol. He’s shown his quality. Some cracking displays and goals, a world of difference from last year. I am even thinking of keeping him for another year. :ninja

Bojan Krkić --- 7

He always looked lively in the league, always managed to create a chance or two for himself or for someone else. He needs more minutes, but I’m not sure if with us or elsewhere. I don’t want him to turn into another Saviola :(

Pedro --- 6.5

One for the future, he can only improve.

Valdés - 7 has been consistant most of the season and he deserves to be in this team

Pinto -6 Didn't play many matches, but wow he won us the road to the Copa del rey final

Márquez - 7 Marquez here and there poped up with some great passes and scored some great goals, I still think he should be one of our prime FK takers.

Cáceres - 5 Didn't have much time to play, but he was handy when we needed him and he gave us some good performances, untested though. I still think he is an aerial/set piece threat in the making.

Piqué - 7 Came here as a novice young defender who wasn't ready yet. But over time game by game, mistake by mistake we watched him gain confidence and with little opportunities like the NT debut and all he excelled to a professional level.

Puyol - 8 People last season questioned his captaincy ability. But the amount of work and effort he put in way before the season had even started in the euro and pre-season he put his head down and worked on making himself better not just for him but for his teammates. What he did the whole team followed him throughout the season. Not forgeting to mention that he was used in all Defensive positions and whatever task Pep gave him to do he set out and did it with flying colours.

Víctor Sánchez - 4 Not a great season, but he was in the same shoes as Pique and Caceres, maybe the oppotunity was a bit too much too early.

Sylvinho - 6 He was a handy LB and gave all he had on the left flank. He maybe was just a tad rusty at times but his effort he puts in is boundless, and the CL final showed it.

Abidal - 6 I found out two things about Abidal this season, he is a patient man and also a very funny guy. I think he physically he is fantastic and his attacking abilities were average. He looks great in most games, but when he becomes the opponents foca point when attacking abidal seems vulnurable.

Alves - 8 I think the valencia performannce last year was his best of te season. This guy prooved us all wrong and he was born to play for this team, he adapted the fastest out of all our tranfers and he deserves to be the best RB/RM/RW in the world :D

Keita - 7 Took a while for Keita to adapt and took a while for him to get minutes. People think he looks lost on the field, but I think Pep gives him unique jobs to carry out in the midfield and he does them without complaints. When he scores he more than likely scores again the next weekend which is fantastic.

Touré - 8 Toure was one of the key pieces to our secret puzzle. for the past few seasons were a very short team. Toure adds that Height with leaps and bounds. He covers the ground so quickly with his long legs and he always defends with close contact and almost looks asif he wrestles his opponents to get the ball. What I like best is that I reckon his Technical skills has improved because he has been playing and adapting to barca's style for so long, I think he has been keenly watching Xavi, iniesta and Messi, and I think If a tall strong player like Toure can become this good, what is stopping us from making big strong players who are as technical as Iniesta?

Xavi - 9 Never had a bad game for the past year and a half. This is probably his best season. Is still can't work out how he is able to see behind his back and able to keep the ball so well even against upto 3 players. His passing is poetry and he manages to make all those game changing passes with little mistake. Even if someone were to blind fold Xavi he would still not lose the ball.

Iniesta - 8 This guy is like magic, has been the second most consistant man in the team, the only bad game he had was against malaga last year. This guy just makes you say WOW every game. He is probably the first player in history to be loved by everyone in the footballing world, even Chelsea fans love him ;)

Hleb 4 - had the potential but maybe his state of mind wasn't with the team.

Gudjohnsen 5 - Started off very well and he had great enthusiasm at the beginning but as the season went on he was left out, maybe for too long.

Sergio B. - 7 A great season he has had and he was definetly worthy in this team.

Bojan - 6 When given the chance he never dissapointed, He always played with loads of enthusiasm, even if he came on at the 89th minute. He earned his goals and most of them were in Europe which is very impressive. I think he is very important for us and that we should not loan him. I still think the Getafe performance was not his fault!

Pedro - 5 Didn't play that many games. But when he did play he played with quality and enthusiasm.

Messi - 10 There is no doubt that he was the best player this season. Noone could have come close to his worth this season.

Eto'o - 8 Scored a lot of goals. Did his job and always put a smile on everyones' faces

Henry - 7.5/8 When the team was on Godlike performance late last year, Henry was just below par to the rest of the team. But that Valencia game changed everything and he added class to the team and gave us an above god-like forward line. He also saved the team on many occasions.
