Maybe next season is time to sell some top star out.
If they do so, Darcourt and Keane seems will be very hign on the list, but I hope they can keep Bower and Woodgate although they are the trouble makers, I don't want Leeds become another Chelsea.
If Leeds have to sell 2 or 3 top level players to keep the balance, what's
you guys choice ???? A sad choice !!!!

OLIVIER DACOURT has hit out at constant transfer speculation that he is set to quit Elland Road in the summer.
The French international was quoted over the weekend as saying he would welcome a move to Juventus in the close season and that United may be forced to sell him along with Lee Bowyer, Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka.
Dacourt, 27, insists he is happy to stay at Leeds and is confident of the club's future prospects.
"I have just returned from a nice weekend in France to find out about this nonsense," said Dacourt in the YP.
"It makes me feel sick. When someone mentions that a great club likes you, then obviously you say that you are flattered.
"I would have said the same thing about Roma or AC Milan, but that doesn't mean I am going there.
"I am upset and frustrated and I am sorry for the supporters who may believe these things, but the truth is that that I'm positive about our chances of reaching the Champions League and I'm happy with the contract I signed with Leeds last summer."

THE latest transfer speculation has installed United striker Robbie Keane as the new favourite to be heading out of Elland Road in the summer, while United are linked with a shock move for a new defender.
Man City are free to launch a £10m bid to sign Robbie Keane as Michael Bridges' return from injury paves the way for Keane to leave Elland Road, while Leeds want Coventry defender Marcus Hall to replace Ian Harte, who is expected to be sold, claims The Sun.
The Daily Mail and Daily Express also run similar articles claiming Keane is likely to move on from Elland Road in the summer.
Leeds boss David O'Leary is monitoring Inter Milan strikers Nicola Ventola and Mohammed Kallon according to The Daily Star.

Which list will they top.
After three years of spending without selling many players, in order to bring in players this year Leeds must fund them with sales.
There must be two lists, one of the players Leeds do not want. This will probably include some of Harte, Duberry, McPhail, Wilcox, maybe even Keane, Martyn or Kelly. To sell these someone must want to buy, I think Man City want Keane, rather than Keane wanting to go to Man City.
The second list contains players that top clubs want to buy and Leeds may not want to sell. This is the list that contains Dacourt, Kewell, Viduka and probably Bowyer.
Peter Risdale has stated that players will have to leave in order to finance further purchases, hopefully these will come from the first list not the second.

Id have to say Dacourt. Never seems happy. Bit like Anelka until he saw the light that is Liverpool. Typical frenchman. Indecisive. Duberry, Bowyer and Woodgate. Just to get em out of the club. It has hung over the clubs head. Id start at the top. Get rid of O'leary. Bring in somone fresh. New ideas. Its worked at Liverpool and Arsenal and to an extent Fulham

O'leary will be with us for at least another season, like ive said b4, if nothing happens next year he'll be out.

Dacort doesnt look interested but leeds need him
Viduka shite, not looking interested
duberry wont leave because tey need cover, remember you cant just get rid ofthe squad players as they are very valuable due to them coming in when needed

Is Harpal Singh any good, I heard he played well at Rochdale on loan
Leeds Pioneer
Mar 14 2002, 09:58 AM
Singh is meant to be very good, he has performed well in the reserves and been substitute for the first team a couple of times this year.
Very much one for the future, two ahead of him at the moment are Jamie McMaster and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff.

well o'leary might have to play his kids next year when his top players go. that will be something new
L11OBS
Mar 16 2002, 09:17 AM
I think O'leary needs to bring some of the youngsters in, he did it when he 1st took over and it worked well, he should try it again, it might just spice things up a bit. Singh is very good and Cansdell-sheriff is an excellent defender who can score goals aswell.

the guy had a lots of money to spend I think that he didn't make very wise decisions
L11OBS
Mar 16 2002, 02:05 PM
I dont think its a case of spending badly, he's a little bit to cautious imo, we missed out on Dyer because we thought he was over priced, could have Rio 2 yrs b4 4 half the price, and the players we have sold have gone for peanuts.

Get rid of Kewell......he's not cutting the mustard at the moment and for someone with his promise...its a crying shame. And Hartey....not only can't defend...he can't even take decent corners / throw ins....waste of space.
Then youv'e got the Duberry's of this world.....who are so woeful...i'm not even wasting my breath on them.

Looks like Kelly could be the 1st to go if reports of a £2m offer from sunderland are true.

I think all the talk of a major clearout is wrong, I expect a few squad players to leave, but only 1, 2 at the most of the main players.
Leeds need to reduce last years loss of c£15m, and then cover the costs of new purchases.

Singh played for Bury and Wrexham, now playing in Ireland.
McMasters played 11 games for Leeds, then went on loan to 4 clubs, last seen playing in Australia.
Shane Cansdell-Sherriff went to Denmark for 3 years and is now at Tranmere.
