Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn admitted on Monday that the tiring Bundesliga programme has ruined his appetite for the game. "Our schedule has been so hard this season, it's disgusting. Sometimes I hate football," said the Germany No 1.
Kahn added that his side are physically and mentally exhausted ahead of their Champions' League meeting with Manchester United on Wednesday.
"I have not even been able to think about the Manchester United game," he said. "Since the start of the season I have played two games every week. It's the same for us all.
"We are tired. All I do is play football, train, go home and sleep. I don't do anything else.
"I don't even watch videos of games or opponents. That's not the way that it should be. I am either playing in the Bundesliga, in the Champions' League or for Germany. It is hard to be that way and keep producing your best form."
Kahn also suggested he was bored of playing United after a series of meetings between the clubs over recent years.
"We must have played them eight times and it is getting to be a bit of a routine," he said. "I feel sorry about that but that's the way it is. Having said that, we will be positive and look forward to the game."
Bayern have struggled for their best form this season, although a 2-1 derby win over 1860 Munich at the weekend kept them in touch with the Bundesliga leaders.
"We forced a result against 1860 and I think we have rediscovered our winning mentality a little.
"That is important. In previous weeks and months that has been a problem. We can go on from there. We have no reason to fear Manchester," added Kahn.
