Atletico Madrid’s Paulo Assuncao has no doubts that the Spanish outfit are stronger than FC Porto as the two clubs prepare to do battle in the last sixteen of the Champions League. The Brazilian categorically told Spanish radio that he considered Atletico far superior to the Portuguese champions.
The holding midfielder played a key role in the Dragons’ success over the past two seasons before surprisingly walking out on the club to join Atletico last summer.

With Portuguese teams they always attatch the wrong player to the rating..like once Meireles was given a 5 or something because "he didnt fullfill his duty as an attacking midfielder" and for Sporting I remember they gave Polga a 5.5 with " not being able to stamp his authority in midfield" when they meant rochemback.

But of course Helton isn't worth 20m. However, my comments were made pre-Chelsea. And if you take away his 2 horrible, near-unforgivable mistakes (Chelsea and last night), I'd value him at around 10-15m. Taking into mind that he does commit these mistakes at such moments, I'd still be unhappy if we sold him for less than 5-7m. He's still our best keeper since Baia came in the early 90's (We've had Wozniak, Kralj, Hilario, Rui Correira etc...all awful tbh)

Great goalkeeper 99% of the time, but will never be good enough to be considered world class.
